She shielded her eyes from the flourescents as she inhaled a shaky breath. Her eyes had better adjust to these lights quickly. With her track record, there was not a prayer in Heaven that she would be released from the crazy house any time soon.
She looked up from his bed and saw a fluorescent purple light. That feeling of ecstasy was overcoming her, and all of a sudden the light was shining throughout the room- he saw it too. This weekend was all they had. Then she would go home to pain. She asked, what is that? He replied, it’s me and you. Catch it before it goes away.
The bulbs above him blinded quickly for a moment before completely shutting off, leaving him in absolute darkness. A machine hummed in the distance accompanying the rain and the droning silence. He closed his eyes, allowing his ears to be his only sense and began to run.
His glow emanating
His eyes flickering
Of hope, of truth, of wonder
He holds on to his chest
Wounded, hurt
Yet still grasping
The very fabric of reality
Fluorescent yielding.
Sitting most of the day under fluorescent lights
makes me want to get out.
Just go and do and be
somewhere fun, somewhere sunny.
Or cloudy even.
Just to live and not live as if I were in a trance

very light,luminous, safety jackets, parking attendants, yellow, just looking at the screen seeing how much time I have left, traffic lights are sort of, no actually they aren’t at all.
I used to insist upon wearing fluorescent green shorts, even under my overly fancy velvet dresses. I wore this combination to preschool at the ymca. I was never one to dress all that normally. I didn’t like gymnastics because I couldn’t wear jeans. I wish I knew how to do a handstand though. Oh well.
Fluorescent lights shine harsh, cold light on my features. The chilly air drifts through this lonely house. I hear a creak. Could it be? Has he come for me so soon? Surely not. I must have had more time than this. For I fear I have not used my time wisely; squandered it like a young person squanders money.

sometimes bright colours are namely the ones that are shiny and i love floresent colours, and sometimes teenage parties are full of flrescent colours and i love these types of colours because they glow and stuff. and I will always have a soft spot for the more pastel olours, but even more so the colours that are rich , for example red and purple.
