  1. i think the galazy is very interesting. it is like a cvompletely different world that not everyone of us can explore. Its a very interesting place, and the fact that we exist in it is interesting compare to other planets who do not have life on them and i think this galaxy is cool and great and cool

  2. A women looked up into the sky and saw the stars that adorned the blanket of darkness that enveloped the sky every night. She notived the all the stars glowed with the same irridescence as the jellyfish that swim in the ocean. She wondered if maybe, just maybe, out in the vast galaxy that houses are small solar system, that they werent stars after all. SHe thought that maybe they were actually giant jellyfish floating in the vast ocean of space

  3. Galaxies represent our biggest fears. The fear of what is bigger, what is unknown. There are billions upon billions of them and yet we cannot imagine the size of even one. But why do we fear it, with all its beauty? Galaxies contain billions of stars, and stars have historically represented the heavens and our greatest ambitions. As does space. And here we are torn by our looming fear of the great abyss known as outer space and by its sheer beauty that we so adore.

  4. If only I had one wish
    I would wish to comprehend
    the enormity of the galaxy.
    Those beautiful stars
    and moons
    and planets.
    Sometimes I wonder to myself
How do you build a planet?
I want to build a planet with you.

  5. The galaxy is the biggest place with the most opportunity. I can’t imagine how many other oneword users are talking about how big it is and how it makes us and our problems seem insignificant. But if you throw this word at me, I think about aliens. And spaceships, and how we’re unfairly treating our fellow UFO’s, when in fact, we are UFO’s. I wonder how aliens could register with earth’s system without flying here first anyway.

  6. huge place lots of different thing to see beautiful forever different places

    by Nune on 04.02.2011
  8. the galaxy was amazing, it was gigantic and it was filled with beautiful planets and 2 suns. It was vast, and it had no intelligent life whatsoever. Someone would call it a waste, but i call it perfect. No one to ruin the beauty.

    by Marshall on 04.02.2011
  9. swirls of gas and dust
something mysterious lies just beyond its curtain of stars
    darkness envelopes the mysterious force
that turns it on its axis
oh dark matter what is the matter that
causes you to hide your face?
    why the cloak of secrecy?
    why?

  11. the world is not everything that it appears to be. i see these stars moving, incandesintly above my head and i touch my hands to my eyes with soft prosition and i think, i wonder, and i feel. how could this all have happened so quickly? how could all of this have become something withint the space a few seconds? it makes me feel small, inadiquit, and as if nothing i do could possibly matter, but i have to try!

    by Meredith Thompson on 04.02.2011
  12. It was brilliant. Unlike anything he had ever seen. It expanded beyond comprehension, and the size and beauty was inconceivable. He gazed in awe, what a galaxy to behold. Beauty. Eternity. Wonder.

  13. All there is to know is in the galaxy — or so I thought until I had one of those “a-ha” or spiritual awakening kind of moments. I was sitting under the stars and just saying “thank you” to no one in particular. That’s when it hit me that the galaxy is only part of existence and no one person or thing or place is everything; that’s deep!

  14. mario galaxy. reminds me of a video game i got for my boyfriend for our first anniversary. he’s a great guy. very loving, caring, always there for me. he’s my best friend. we’re going away to seperate schools in the fall.. i’m not looking forward to that. terrified about it, actually. is love really enough to help two people survive whatever life throws at them?.

    by Hayley on 04.02.2011
  15. The galaxy, is more than just us, more than just the earth, the sun and the rest of the other planets. It’s a mass of worlds combined into a universe. But of course, as humans, we do not know of any other existence. Just us.

    by Nicole on 04.02.2011
  16. we lived like stars
    galaxies apart
    when you went dark
    the milkyway went dry
    the planets flat
    twinlke twinlke silent
you are remembered as you were
    in my galaxy

    by linds on 04.02.2011
  17. In all the places in the world, in this big wide galaxy I was forced into, there is nobody I want to be with more than you. You could shower me with celebrities, have a parade of eligible bachelors who’d be willing to take me, drown me in models, but I would ignore them all. There is nobody other than you in the world according to me. I could draw a picture of this galaxy and draw nothing but a single figure, a single you, a single love that I thought I would never feel. You became my everything without truly trying.

  18. As I lay silently in the grass and stared into the sky, I couldn’t help but to wonder where our galaxy ended and where the next one begun. It was mind blowing to feel so tiny, so insignificant. And yet to find myself lying next to the one person who I felt gave me the most significance. Because only he had that power. To make me feel special and grateful to be grounded to this Earth rather than floating around the universe. I loved him.

  19. Galaxy. galactic. hitch hiking. Douglas Adams. Great, funny author. Died too young. The world lost a good guy. Towel day in in May. I met him once in Toronto. Very nice man.

  20. Nereen handled the controls with the speed of an expert. “Hard to Starboard,” she commanded.
    “Aye Captain.”
The ship lurched to the right, The crew held their positions.
“Warp speed now!” ordered Nareen. “Stay alert, each and every one of you. This is an unknown galaxy we are entering.”

  21. the world exsists in the galaxy. I definenetly spelled “exist” wrong. Fuck, I definetly spelled “Defintely” wrong. And again. The galaxy of ours is also known as the Universe.

  22. swirled of light and color flashes stars circulating vastly unknown, yet totally discovered simultaneously. i want to scoop the star dust and throw it into the air and watch it fall in glitters, in glittering galactic awesomeness.

    by lily on 04.02.2011
  23. Who knows? Will we ever be able to explore it? I wonder if there are aliens out there. I don’t think it’s reasonable to assume we’re the only intelligent beings in the universe. Maybe in the galaxy, though. Sometimes space scares me. Makes me feel small and inconsequential, I guess.

    by Christine on 04.02.2011
  24. it’s a dark place far away, and yet always near. You can always see it, at least at night, when the city lights aren’t to bright. And you aren’t distracted by some bright light in your frame of sight.. at least that’s what it’s supposed to be. But it’s not. It’s a million possibilities, a world unknown, untouched, and alone.

    by Jessica Lajcik on 04.02.2011
  25. In outerspace, we see the galaxy, the beautiful open space that embodies mind and power. The color of peace and hate. Every thought makes us insane but calm. We find beauty in everything up there.

by Lisa Marie Rodriguez on 04.02.2011
  26. In a galaxy far, far a – stop right there. No, not there, a little to the left. The make Milky Ways and they make Mars Bars. Why do I think they used to make Galaxy bars? Or is that fictional candy out of Harry Potter?

Apparently one of us needs more sleep, and it’s not me.

  27. The stars twist and disappear to dust when the earth looses it’s footing in the great debate.

    by Penelope Parker on 04.02.2011
  28. the galaxy is an amazing gift that i do not think anyone can full grasp. God created the galaxy and everything in it, including us. He created the sun and the stars and the Earth that we call home. The galaxy is complex, mysterious, and beautiful

    by Nicole Dean on 04.02.2011
  29. my mind has wound up lost
    among the starsin the galaxy
    i try not to be
what i suppose i’ve began to seem
    you’ve been entagled in me
touched my mind and soul with your spirituality
    beyond my wildest dreams
surpased what i’m able to believe
    too bad i’m still unable
to show you what you truly mean
    to me.

  30. Galaxy

    The sky was painted
    Stars strewn
    Across a black canvas
    The milky way
    A swift but glamorous
    Wave of whites
    Pure beauty
    Her lip trembled
    Staring deep into the portrait
    Although she’d seen it before
It was as if this  time
    This very fragment
Isolated her and she “saw” it
    For the first time
    Her eyes welled with tears
    For she knew
    She could never experience
    The freedom of the galaxy
    The beauty that it holds
    And the things it consumes
    Without any knowledge
    Her tears fell
    Like the stars
    And she wept
For the things she had lost
And the things give up in compromise
    The galaxy so large
    Her world so small…

  31. hitchhiker’s guide. arthur dent. stars.

  34. At this point, I don’t even think I could find the right guy if I searched the entire galaxy. Every single on of them has just been… nothing but trouble. I’m tired of it.

  35. what is a galaxy? attempt to comprehend and you’ll find you cannot measure what is so much greater than yourself. don’t strain to believe how large a thing encompasses us. pay attention to your own details. that’s all you want to do, anyway.

  36. Across the galaxy, the stars glittered like a million mosquitoes. Buzzing, flickering, colliding with each other, or at least imploding on their own enough to seem as though they were colliding with each other. Too many too appreciate at all.

    by Loralie on 04.02.2011
  37. Once upon a time in a galaxy far far away, there lived a little girl named Sam. She never really understood why there were galaxies or other worlds. Only that there was her world. She loved her world. All the green trees and flowing water made her calm and uncaring.

    by Emily Walton on 04.02.2011
  38. neverending life . A life full of complete and utter joy. Better than an all you can eat buffet. Amazing to think the vast empty world of a galaxy delivers such beauty. When you look into space and notice that color of pure black and little white dots all over. I simply do not see how you can think that this all just was created by itself. Without a hint of something larger than the universe itself. Something that created cause and effect and turned it into effect and cause. Which is POSSIBLE.

    by roseli on 04.02.2011
  39. The galaxy is huge. It sucks you in and leaves nothing behind. There is no time in the galaxy. There is just you and the rest of the sky. Nothing is heard, nothing is said. There is no sadness. There is no fear. Just a weightless wonder, a wonder that leaves you feeling whole. Nothing matters but you. You and the galaxy.

    by Natalie on 04.02.2011
  40. So far and so vast. Created by one larger than it, but both are completely unfathomable.
