  11. People sometimes take what is given to them for granted. They take no notice of the people who would die to have the lives they live and they continually ask for more than what they actually need. I’m sure they love what they are given, they just forget to appreciate it.

  12. I was given a chance. A chance at happiness and I lost it. I can’t believe I lost it. I was given all these things at the palm of my hands, and I can’t hold onto it. If only I knew what I held in the palm of my hands, I would have known. Known that chances aren’t just handed, but given to you from what you prove yourself of.

  13. What does the word “given” really mean? To me, it implies selflessness. It reminds me of what’s been given for me, and how little I have given to everyone else. Given. It’s a word that brings redemption, grace, and forgiveness to my mind. Hope is given. Love is given. Yet all I do is take. I wonder when I’ll figure it out?

I have given myself both in the name of love and lust. I have given pain and tears for others both lost and distant. But I have never given life with would be a blessing.

  20. Given the chance to redo things, I wouldn’t ask you what I’ve already asked you. Because most of the time, your answers turn to be the craziest, unexpected replies. If I were to take a few steps back to 1:30PM today, I’d just do what I feel because at least, it feels right.

  22. i was given a large envelope at the end of the night containing a sum of money and a note, saying how glad someone was to know me. The note was not addressed to me, and i doubt it was intended for me either. Which made me wonder about the money- I was supposed to be paid for the exhibit, but the whole thing was just very confusing.

A little boy dressed in his blue pajamas ran towards the tree, giggling as he did so. His parents came after him, smiling and looking down at him as he started rifling through the stacks of gifts.

  29. I knew exactly what had happened and why it had happened, only it took this long for me to understand it. I had been given all of the puzzle pieces, but had yet to piece them together. Now I seemed to be working my way from the outside in. First, I had to get a good border on there, and now I was beginning to piece together the harder sections. I’m putting together a puzzle without a clue as to what it’s going to create.

  30. Given the amount of time I have to write a story, at the moment the only thing I am able to come up with the the fact that I’m complaining about the amount of time given. When I could be brewing up new, fresh ideas. I’m always out of time.. I always feel I need more of it. I don’t know what I need or what I want.
