As I stand there before him, face to face, I’m overcome with an urge to say the words. He puts his arms around my waist and tilts me back to kiss me. He takes my hand and tries to teach me dance steps. We laugh about the songs I play and we tease each other, and I want to say words but they are far beyond my reach, so I keep my secret hidden for a little longer.
