i really wish i were an inventor or had a dream to be one like freddie he’s so sure of what he wants to do, it would be nice to have that security and knowledge that you had an achievable dream and no one could stop it coming true, it would truly be amazing.

an idea, an epiphany, the light bulb that goes off in your head. I love the idea of “flash of genius”. I would love that, to invent something no one else has.

Stop making up excuses.
If you don’t wanna see me,
Just tell me what’s wrong.
And I’ll just leave you alone… ♥

It was a classic lightbulb moment; I knew it straightaway that this would be the making of me -of my fortune – of the rest of my life. Off course, when I woke up this morning with a cold kebab by my side, I couldn’t remember exactly what it was.

I started out trying to create something I already knew existed. Because, lets face it, I am NOT an inventor. I always wonder to myself, how did someone decide those pieces would make a car? Anyway, I started out to recreate something, and ended up inventing the most wonderful thing.

I didn’t invent vampires, but I did discover one. I was a cop then, working a beat on the east side. That’s when I first saw him. He was pale, and definitely out of place. He walked through gangland without a thought or hesitation. And the gangbangers left him alone. That’s how I knew he was something different.

To invent is to create something that no one has every thought of. To invent is to make life easier. To invent is to make your dreams become reality. To invent is to let your mind run freely.

I walked down the streets of Hong Kong
I saw my face in the windows of every store
of every tree
of every person
and each shape, each reflection of myself
was another way of inventing the impossible
myself and those around me into a whole new

I want to invent something. Anything, really. Something that would change the world, or at least change my world. I think that is really all that anyone can really hope for in their lifetime. Inventing something to change their perspective on life- a cure to a disease, a new tool, something creative. I wish I had an idea that would really change the world. But everyone wishes that, don’t they? I hope I make something in life that is really my own.

Necessity is the mother of invention. Just another way of saying if you can make do with what’s around you, you will succeed, go far. You, my son, will be a man.

i wish i could invent a system to let me vent out this rhythm and let the people know that when its time for us to go on in our separate ways there will be days like these ill learn to regret im sick of letting shit get to me i just want to be a happy family again when all of our friends are together and warm and when the days are done i will know that i wore the right smile made the right laughs and that the past was what defies me

I never found it hard to do certain things, but when it came to needing to do this? I failed. I mean, I’m a PRODUCT DESIGN major. I can’t even do the simplest of tasks. My desires didn’t exactly follow through, so what am I to do? Damn…

thomas edison invented the light bulb. iron man invented weapons. god invented hiccups. we invented awesome. new. pretty. fun. exciting. i want to invent a vaporizer gun that you can shoot at other drivers and then it takes them back to where they started.

Invent, to make somthing up and give it a life, importance, a firm footing as real in your subjective experience. I invented the importance of my own problem and my own problems in turn invented a spinoff of problems for others. Ugh. Invent. Flip side definition. To manifest, to create my reality. To be the change I want to see and invent my life from the embryo on…

Standing, shufflng, looking past the man’s shoulders and out through the window, the rain falling in thin cold lines, I squeeze my hands and try to look interested, knowing that whatever he is saying, that it was my fault the error occured, I should have been there, and it was my duty to be there. I nod. Look sad. But my mother Mr Greene. The hospital. Such delays. I can see his shoulders crumple. The pencil twirling in his fingers. We’ll say nothing more. Is she better? I shrug. My lie can’t go any further. My mother is in Marks & Spencer. She is buying soup, cold meat, oblivious. I wonder if her ears are burning? I turn away to the door. I am free.

ok so i really think inventing is cool
and i wish that i could invent more things
like songs or lyrics or music
i really wish i could invent more music
sometimes it’s hard to be creative and i wish i could be more creative
but i think it’s okay to like
work off other people’s ideas
and just bring something new to it from your own perspective
so i should do more of that
By Sean on 02.19.2011
i got the word invent again. i keep clicking, thinking that i’ll be getting some other word like “love” or “hope”, but no. Invent. what do i invent? absolutely nothing. i’m not thomas edison. i’m not albert einstein. i’m a sixteen year-old girl with hopes and dreams and hoping that they’ll work out in the end. inventing dreams. that’s what i do.

He took the radio apart, but then there was a problem. He didn’t know how to out it back together. So instead he put it back together in a way that was completely abstract and when he turned it on it was no longer a radio but something completely different.

We didn’t invent longing, you and I. We didn’t invent skin, bones, fingers, touch. We didn’t invent the way it feels to want for something you can’t have. We didn’t invent the words that fall from tired fingers, the need to be heard, understood, wanted. We didn’t invent the swell of the ocean, the taste of salt, we didn’t invent tears crying sobbing need. We didn’t invent any of it, but you and I, together, we’re so fucking good at it.

When I think about the word “invent”, Thomas Edison, the inventor of the lightbulb comes to mind. My teachers always used him for examples in inventions. I don’t know why not other inventors. Maybe he was just that awesome.

I need to invent new ways to get out of this hell hole, she thought to herself as she sat impatiently in her classroom. Everyone around here was different than she was, she wanted to go out and do something with her life and no one even cared or took her seriously. She need to invent a way to get out. Now.

if you could invent one thing what would it be? i have often thought of this and many times i feel like everything that could be invented has already been invented so what’s left? but then i think of ways to make life easier. i would totally make a visor for the car that unhooked on both sides so i can block the sun from both sides.

I would like to invent a future where everybody gets what they want. Your heart beats for me, and no one else. I would like to see how your day will go, a day where you’re happy, a day without me. Pull a looking glass from my pocket and peer into the piece of shit you call a heart; love me.

invent. the act of creation. but that hardly seems fair. not to create (for creating is a far more sacred word) it is the ability to combine. the little building blocks, the -emes of the world pressed into beautiful and terrifying new shapes, the bites we take out of the familiar.

Invent our own destiny with the respect of the higher power. We are our own priority to the invention of peace. Perspective is just a crutch not our life. Mute the disparity and substitute it with our necessities.
By Stefan Smith on 02.19.2011
To invent is to use your brain. To make things better for yourself and other people by creating things to stimulate life, the mind, the environment. Inventions come upon people when they are in a midst of heavy thinking– it’s like trying to own a piece of life with your creation.
By Caroline Kim on 02.19.2011
I have always wanted to be an inventor. But i seem to lack creative thought. How wonderful it would be to be able to say – ‘I did that, that is my contribution to the world’.
