  5. i love jelly but think about if you had to eat a jelly fish. would it taste like grape or would it just hurt your mouth real bad like a sore after you’ve eaten too much citric acid?

    by Cassidy Miller on 01.31.2011
  6. she dont use jelly
tastey grape jelly spread over my bread on a cold winters day. Three inches of snow and a lost mitten send me running the jellys way. I spread it on thick and i spread it on fast, the jelly tastes good fresh out of the bath. My sister wants to steal it but let her i wont, for this jelly ive made is tastey when im alone.

  7. The jelly donut looked at Jim with it’s sad droopy eyes– not truely eyes, of course, but rather defects in the dough that tended to sag in two uniform dots on either side of the donut. The mouth was just a bite out of it, with purple jelly gushing slowly out of it, and the entire face gave the impression of a tired drunken old man.

  8. Mama always made the best strawberry jelly. It was the sweetest thing this side of the Milky Way. To this day I can’t look at a strawberry without feeling my insides swell up and my throat constrict a little. I miss the days when everything was good and simple. Oh, I miss them terribly. My very soul aches for them, sometimes.

  9. mmm jelly, as in pb & J I loves me some pb & J, J being jelly, I might even just have to make one tomorrow now, thanks random word website. hmmm what to do with my remaining time, jellyfish are pretty cool to.

  12. I watched this “movie” the other day. This guy walked in and started jingle-jangling about like he was the cock of the walk. But his junk just wobbled around like a plate full of jelly. It wasn’t going to get jammed anywhere anytime soon in that sad state. I thought these productions hired fluffers? Like fluffer-nutters, like PB needs some J.

  13. Jelly. Like the way it felt between my fingers. It didn’t sting. We thought it would. But the Japanese girls giggled as they handed to my father, and my brother and I jumped off the floating dock into the sea, the herd o jellyfish, and we played with them. Wearing them like jewels on our heads, in our salt crusted hair.

  14. I love jelly. It’s always been a staple to my everyday diet. Ever since childhood I remember applying it much too thick on a crushed piece of white bread from the drawer. We never had much money. But jelly was always there for us.

    by Jake on 01.31.2011
  15. I saw the Physics Troll comic ask me “jelly?” as in jealous and I couldn’t believe it. Has society really stooped to that low? Well of course it has. These are teh interwebz. What else could I expect to happen from the longform word of ‘jealous.’ Smile, ancestors, for we are advanced!

  16. Jelly is good on toast, but not very good on your hands. It is sticky, and gets all over the place. Whether you are typing on your keyboard, or writing a paper by hand, it will get on something. You might think that you can be careful, that if you hold the edge of your toast you will avoid the sticky predicament. You are wrong. It will get on your hands, and from your hands to something else.

    by Jacen Sievers on 01.31.2011
  17. It’s hard and toasty just the way I like it. I spread the peanut butter on one side, and the jelly on the other. As I take the first bite, jelly squishes out the sides falling like melted snow from a roof top.

  18. thats all i need to perfect my lunch. just one jar of jelly. but of course i don’t have any in the house. who the hell wants a peanut butter sandwich? thats when i realized what was really missing from my life, a wife. someone to be the jelly to my peanut butter.

  19. peanut butter and jelly
    jelly and jam
i watched my mom make jelly when i was a kid
sometimes we ran out of gelatin and she was frustrated because the store never carried enough of it.
but somehow we always ended up with lots and lots of strawberry jelly.

    by noelle on 01.31.2011
  20. Red everywhere. I’ll pretend it’s raspberry jelly. That way it won’t be as terrible to look at. It won’t look like blood.

  21. I do quite like jelly. I think a peanut butter and jelly sandwich is not the same without jelly. Which would make sense thus the name. It also makes me think of Julian Smith and his youtube video “Jellyfish”. For obvious reasons of course. And the song which is sung in that video tends to come to mind when that particular word is brought up.

  22. Jelly Bounce in the Jelly bean and the peanut butter spread could not be seen.

  23. So much of life is based on the new and complicated. But when you really think about life, its all about the basics. Ya know, the peanut butter & jelly. IF you dont have that down, you certainly wont know how to make a lobster.

  24. jelly i just so exciting when you really think about the concept of it. it’s jiggly, and bouncy and usually comes in bright colors. i have this memory of punch flavored jell-o from my grandma’s house. whenever i would come there would be these delicate crystal cups of jell-o in the fridge next to the sugar free diet pepsi. she’d sit me down in front of the tv and say, “now you just sit here honey and watch your shows and eat your jell-o. i’ll get you a blanket. need anything else? want more jell-o?” it was overwhelming and lovely…just like jelly. i feel like there’s different definitions for jelly though, some people consider “jelly” to be like jam, while others think of jell-o. for me, it depends on the consistency. but for jam to be jelly, i feel like it has to be grape jelly, because that makes me think of peanut butter and jelly sandwiches. as we all know, the jelly in a peanut butter and jelly sandwich is almost always grape. and bright purple. i wonder what the distinction between jam and jelly and jell-o is… jam is a preserve. jelly is more jiggly than jam and is usually grape or welchs. and jell-o is refrigerated once it is made. hmm…that’s something interesting to ponder. hope my brain doesn’t turn into jelly thinking about this!

  25. i love jelly. i think bears like jelly but i have never met one before to ask. paddington bear likes marmalade which i kind of like jelly. pb and j reminds me of being a little kid. i ate it at lunch all the time. jelly is awesome…but only strawberry jelly. grape is nasty.

  26. “You jelly, bro?”

I looked up at him through the haze of the cigarette smoke in the room. My brows furrowed into a tight knot.

    “..Jelly?”

    “Yes. You look rather jelly.”

I shook my head ad looked away, nursing my glass a bit more. Whoever he was, he wasn’t making much sense and Mr. Jack Daniels seemed a million times more interesting than his smug face.

  28. He did it again
    He made me feel good
    My heart’s like jelly
    Sweet and wobbly and unstable
    Full of love

    Where did I go right?
How did I get a father like you?
    This family is perfect
    Just you and me
    Nobody else
    Just us

There has never been anything else
    It’s always been us
    Me, you, and friends
    Share and share alike
    Love and love alike

    Suddenly
    The jelly trembles
    Wobbles
    Collapses
    My world turns dark
    I see
    I see
    You
    Clutch your chest
    Gasp for air
    What do I do?

    Cellphone
    Call 111
    Help me
But I can’t get the words out
    I’m suffocating
    Drowning in my panic
    They trace the call
    I hang up
    Pass out

    I come to
    Mum in tears
    Your father’s passed away
    No
    This can’t be
    He was just
    I was just
    We were just
    WHERE IS HE

    I go numb
    Quiet
    Dark
    Fall into a hole
    I never climb out of
    Everyone moves on
    But me
    I
    Will
    Never
    Forget

  29. Peanut and Jelly were the best of friends. They went together like bread and butter.

They decided to take a walk one warm sunny day. Not knowing where they wanted to go, they decided only to make left turns. Upon the fourth left turn, they found themselves in the park. Jelly commented on how the trees looked like lollipops. Peanut thought the big puffy clouds in the sky looked like marshmallows.

  30. You are my everything. You dance with me to music. You hold my hands. You cook dinner with me. You are the most amazing thing I have ever found. Please forgive me when I say I want nothing more than to die. To disappear. To never exist again.

  32. Purple was stained everywhere, all over the room and all over the floor. The knife was hidden somewhere in the mix of all this purple. The mess was inconceivable.

And all this, caused by someone under 2 years old. Oh Billy, so young, so chaotic.

  33. jelly fish are evil because they sting you but they are also very beautiful. i like jelly with butter on my toast. actually, i like jam better then jelly- because i like the seeds in it. jelly reminds me of fat and gelatin, glossy and jiggly and shiny. it can be gross or translucent and beautiful. jelly jiggly juggle jew.

  34. What can I say about jelly?
It is so simple, yet so fulfilling.
Never good alone, but always good with butter or peanut butter.
Can be called jam or preserves.
Grape is the best, especially when you are at the local truckstop.
I think packaged jelly is better than jar.

  35. u jelly? I know you are. You got some abstract thing to write about, but I get a meme-able one. The material is here, and I can just run with it, while you have to struggle to come up with symbolism and meanings and things.

    I got an easy word.

    u jelly?

  36. Jelly is a delicious thing when combined with peanut butter. It’s unusual like that though. No one really talks about just jelly sandwiches. It’s only when peanut butter and jelly combine together that the two can work in perfect harmony to create a wonderous whole. Sometimes, I wonder what my peanut butter is.

    by Dairun on 01.31.2011
  37. I hate jelly. Jelly tastes really gross in my opinion but I guess jellyfish are pretty cool. But I guess that isn’t really jelly related. I really hate blueberry jelly the most but my dad loves it and I don’t understand why. I tried it once when I was five and I thought it tasted good but after that day, I thought it was bad. I guess I am not destined to be a jelly lover but I’ll just have to learn to deal with that.

  38. Jelly is really good and sweet. I really enjoy it with peanut butter. It makes me think of when I was a child and how simple things once were.
