  1. Grown up ducks can be mean. They’ll snatch breadcrumbs away from the baby ducks you’re trying to feed them to, and snap at the poor little fluffballs.
    But actually, it’s unhealthy for the little ducklings to be stuffed like that: so are the grown up ducks actually being nice, and are we the mean ones?

  14. Mean is not a relative term. Everyone clearly knows what it is. If we do something to hurt someone else, that’s a mean thing. Sometimes it is possible to be mean without knowing it.

  15. This reminds of women, more importantly, and specifically, my roommates! they’re horrible. They’ve treated me horribly and without them I wouldnt be who i am now, so is being mean really a terrible thing or a necesary one?

  22. Why did she have to be so mean? I’d thought that if we tried to put our differences behind us then we’d at least be able to start moving forward again.
    But yet, deep down I knew I deserved every bit of her anger. I mean, it was MY fault it happened anyways, and no matter what I do, we both knew I would never fully pay for my sins.

  24. I like to think that I’m not a mean person. But then I’ll say something that suprises even myself. I didn’t think I was mean, so why did I just say that? Geez. I’m trying to think of an example… Oh! I have it. I was reading erotica with my boyfriend, written by females, and I made an awful comment: “Geez, I wonder what male authors erotica would sound like… AND THEN HIS DICK WENT IN THE PUSSY,” or something awful like that. He just gave me this look, like; what an insensitive thing to say. I feel like a jerk.

  25. It hurt. A lot. How could they be so…mean. In private is one thing. Personal. Through a text. Sure. Email. Why not. IM even. I’ll take it. But right there. In the hallway. In front of Cameron. WHY. I felt like an idiot. How could you, of all people, do that to me. It hurt.

  28. Do you know what I mean? No one ever seems to. I can’t seem to ever get a point across. I try to tell someone something and they just don’t understand. Maybe it’s because I’m different. I’m not like everyone else. Sometimes I wonder if I’m human. I think these dark, other worldly thought that no one else can understand and I think it must be because I don’t belong on this planet.

  30. This life wasn’t meant for me at all. I pined for that magic and mystery that I found beyond reality. I melted away in the nostalgia, and the depression knocked me out cold. But I couldn’t stop. I kept living every boring, dull, and stressful day. And I would wait until nighttime when I could wish wholeheartedly that I lived a different life. Wishing never hurt so much as it did now.
