At the landing, she beamed. Fake it ’til you make it. “Hi.”

  21. In a minute stood a man looking as happy as can be, singing like a dove falling out of a tree. In a minute I stood and held out my hand. In a minute was the sound of him walking past, with that grin on his face. In a minute we made contact and stared upon each others’ face. It was that one minute that I knew exactly what the future would become, because a minute is all it takes to change a life.

  27. All it takes is a minute. A minute can change your whole life. One minute you’re happy and then next, you can be feeling complete and utter heart break. One minute he can be making you the happiest girl in the world, and the next he could be breaking your heart. One minute can change your life. One minute can destroy your hopes and dreams. One minute is powerful. What will you do in one minute? Will you hold your breath, take the plunge? Or will you spend it in the safety of your bedroom, scared of the risks you couldn’t possibly take because of the minutes before? Don’t let those old minutes get in the way. Make new minutes. Make new memories. Live in the minutes that take your breath away.

  31. Minutes go by faster than anything. So much can happen in a minute. Words spilling onto a page and thoughts spiraling in your head. Life consists of minutes, if we only would take the time to realize how much they matter to us and to our lives. Lives are only a collection of minutes.

  36. “Just give me a minute okay?” he said while answering his phone.
I was left there in the restaurant. Playing with my fork. The food haven’t arrived yet. I’m getting really hungry. “Oh well,” I thought.
I picked a small notebook from my satchel and started sketching, but no idea came out of my mind. Creative block, one of the things in life that I hate so much.
I tapped my pen and started to look around. Where could she be? It’s been 3 minutes. And where is the food? I’m getting really hungry here.
So I got quite frustrated. Then something caught my eye. Our table is near a mirror and in the reflection a saw a pair of eyes. Gray and frustrated. Yet they seem to gleam. It’s a beautiful pair of eyes actually. I never thought eyes were actually beautiful until that day. So there I was. Staring into those eyes. And when I looked back, the girl with the gray eyes was already getting up to leave. I stared at her dark brown hair as she skittered to the door. I felt something weird I can’t explain. But when I saw those eyes, I knew that there was something. I know I knew her. I just don’t know why. But I felt a connection. Because in those eyes I saw myself clearer than I ever had.
“Sorry it took me so long, son.” he said. “Business stuff.”
    “Yeah, sure. Okay.”
“Oh look, here comes the food. Boy, I sure am hungry.”
    “Yeah me too.”
The waiter arrived with our dishes. We ate. The food was delicious by the way. But I still can’t get my mind of the girl with those gray eyes.

  37. In one minute, one second, or even less than that, a life can change. It can be for the best, like a Manolo on sale, or for the worst, like the stories that make you weep. Life is a roller coaster and a minute is a measure of change.

  40. One minute they said. Just one minute. That was all I had to write. What about? They didn’t say. They simply trust the word upon me and told me that simple truth. “You have one minute.” How many words, they didn’t say. All they said was just, one minute.
