  1. A minute isn’t much time to think, but in reality, when you truly think about it, a minute is 60 seconds, and an hour has 60 times 60 seconds in it times several hours so we have so much time in one day, yet we waste it all on ridiculous things.

  4. I have one minute to write about this. I wish a minute was longer just like every other moment. But It never is. If you’re stuck in a moment you want to last like sitting beside the person you love in the perfect atmosphere, a minute is not enough.

  5. Wait. This can’t be the room I was asking for. I looked at the clock. One minute. One minute and I was not even in the correct waiting room–the little second hand looked like a hair quivering in the time piece mounted on the pale, smudgy wall.

  6. ticking by faster sometimes, slower others. a minute, when we’re little and our parents said ‘one more minute” they actually meant five, but the ‘one’ part made us savor every bit of fun we could squeeze in. Minutes are what we count waiting for work to end, or school, or some other unsavory task, but what we will to last longer when we’re with our friends, or at the ends of our lives.

  7. It’s been minutes. Seconds. Time. Time since I first saw the light. Since I first looked at the ceiling and wondered what was life about. Now is the time to wonder again. And I wish those minutes had all been the same, all full of childhood and strenght and pretty faces.

  8. One minute had passed. It hadnt been enough to see his face, his eyes. He had gone now to a nowhere land where actions were to happen and you wouldnt be there. You had met him, but he was now gone. One minute had passed since your eyes had locked and you had seen each other at that train station.

  10. One minute is a very long time. I once told someone i loved them, and it took one minute for their face to go from happiness to complete fear and anxiety. I was scared shitless. One minute is all it took for my world to come crashing down all around me. to make me a nervous wreck. And to lose a lot. One minute is a very, very long time.

  13. Jamie had a good sense of time. Every time she was waiting at the bus stop, or the lunch line, or the dentist, she played the “One minute game” with herself: try to count out sixty seconds. When she started back in third grade she was off by fifteen seconds, but now in sixth grade she got it within a second every time. Other things started to happen, too. She woke up, sometimes, one minute before the alarm rang. She liked it that way. The day felt different, when she got up at 6:59 rather than 7:00.

  16. Small, min-ute, or minute, 60 seconds, all the time it takes in the world to make decisions that shape you, break you, and turn your world upside down. One minute to do something great. One minute of every day is all the time that’s left really when you think about it. So, get going.

  17. In a minute, everything changed. I didn’t know where I was all perception was lost, maybe even consciousness. I don’t know why I asked him where I was, I still thought that you were remarkable. I believed in you, I was faithless. A minute was all it took, a minute for perfection, a minute for the chaos that was about to be unleashed in this loveless place. I forget how to feel, in that moment, you were alive.

  20. A minute is a burden. One more, and I may explode.
The way he stares. One more, and I may explode.
The thinness of his lips. One more, and I may explode.
What? No. A minute more. All I ask. It’s not a lot.
    Don’t worry.

  21. I minute is nothing. It means nothing. It is a raindrop in the sea. All it is, is sixty seconds, and all sixty seconds are, are 6000 milliseconds. But what does that mean? What does it MATTER?
When she tells me it’s her last, I don’t know what to say.
“The first, the last. Just a minute.”
    She spends it like one.

  22. I have one minute to write and I’m worried about what I’m going to write. Will it be good? Will I make mistakes and will it be worth reading? I love to write but my fears are what the employer will think of me when it’s done.

  31. it takes a minute to think. a minute is only a second when youve been isolated for a long time. time goes by really fast when youve been sitting in your room for six fucking months. time becomes precious and a minute is nothing but a part of the long hours that youve been so alone

  34. Only 60 seconds. One minute. Only one-sixtieth of one hour. How quickly it seems to go when I am wanting something, yet how slowly when I don’t. Something so short, minuscule can still make a huge difference.

  40. A minute is minute (one-sixtieth of an hour, an hour that counts). A minute minute – say that for a minute (sixty seconds, that counts, because it’s whether you leap off the sidewalk when the truck comes rolling). (A life isn’t minute ; more than a sixtieth of another’s life.) One.
