  1. Sometimes, the definition of who you are is defined by who you are around. Nothing completely changes, sure. But there are some alters. Simple things, such as preferring periwinkle when alone and lavender when with certain people and maroon when with certain others. Your morality, your personality, the essence of your being, is never truly solid. Neither are the people you are around.

  2. morality is an issue we focus waaaaay too much on. why should we focus on something that is so vague and opinionated and not focus on more pressing issues, like hunger or childhood diarrhea. seriously, we dont need to have any more discussions on morality, just do whats in your gut and youll be fine. but helping people? that takes actual effort.

  3. I legitimately have no idea how to write about this word in the context I need to. Honestly morality to me means having the ability to know what you are doing and know that it is what’s correct in the world. whether it be not doing illegal things or in general knowing something is good. People always find problems and are confused as to whether something is right or not. We need a handbook of right and wrong given to us when we are born. It’d save us a lot of trouble in the end.

  4. The soul.. what is morality? why do so many people not posses such a simple trait. simple kindness to others.. “do unto others” so to speak… in laments terms. What would/could this world be like if more had this trait? World peace? Good will towards men? One would only wish..

    morality. peace. kindness. love.

  5. ok, so i can’t think of much. beauty. not being a hypocrite. or at least admitting that you are one. ohhh what wonderful design on this screen! anyways, high morality is generally a more stringent set of moral principles? hmmm…idk. what else should i say? not being deceptive. not being a horrible person.

    by jac on 10.04.2011
  6. Oh, fuck this. Fuck everything. Why should we care? People have feelings? It seems to me that all they have is a lack of morals. So fuck them, we say. We don’t need them. We don’t need each other. Fuck everything.

  7. Life. Virtues.
Do i have morality when i banged the guys head in?
When i strangled the girl with a guitar wire?
How about the guy who i tortured and let bleed out?
Or the girl that i nailed to the piece of wood and dropped from a cliff?
    I’m pretty sure i don’t and i don’t think i want any now.
Did i ever and will i ever? Or is that an or?
    Does someone’s morality really matter?

    by Kathrine on 10.04.2011
  8. Hm. This is an interesting one today. What are my views on morality? I have a tendency to think that we know what is morally wrong and right but then again I feel as if some people are unable to distinguish between these two. Morality is something that everyone has different opinions on and quite honestly, I don’t think we are ever going to come to a conclusion on it…at least not in my lifetime.

    by Teeps on 10.04.2011
  9. Some people can truly amaze me with their lack of morality
How can you choose to try to win
over what are obviously the correct choices for your child’s future?

  10. Atheism and morality are not mutually exclusive. It is possible to know right from wrong through logic. I question the morality christians are taught. The bible is rife with questionable behaviors. Rape, incest, physical abuse, slavery… this is the standard of morality?

    by Amanda on 10.04.2011
  11. Morality. What is the definition of morality? How do we know what is right? And if we can figure that out, why is that even the right thing? Who decides what’s moral and pious and just? Who decides these malleable definitions? Is it God? Is there God?

  12. life, death, right versus wrong, choices determine our destiny. When know one is looking. Religion, parenting, living.

    by Brendan on 10.04.2011
  13. The morality of my situation is non-existant. What I am doing is not moral. What I am doing is fucked up and I know that but I just need a moment to myself, a moment with him, a moment without my fucking roommates around. That would be the moral thing, is if they would just go away for a day or two so I can do what I want to do.

    by Meh. on 10.04.2011
  14. Why do we care about morals? it conflicts with all other instincts. to survive, to eat, to live. We loose these morals at some point in our lives. So there is of course no point

  15. Morality. What a fun word to say. I’ve said it countless times, yet I’ve never actually meant anything with it. I despise morality. It sickens me from the bottom of my soul. I find it utterly annoying, I think it does nothing but to restrain your capacities. And I mean morality not as a set of rules you should follow to be ‘happy’, but morality as the implicit criticism in those rules. Everyone should try to be happy, yet these rules always try to keep you inside a shell; they will never let you do anything -too radical-, they’ll always keep you inside that safe range that tantalizes progress and goals. Only by the destruction of that implicit criticism can one be truly happy. Only by the obliteration of rotten traditional morality can one metamorphose reality into the beautiful butterfly it can be.

  16. morality has been dead for a very long time. ever since humans were able to realiz scientifically that god does not exist, morality has been dead. yet we are choosing to ignore this fact. so what is morality? devalued standards that create controllable society, create people easily held accountable and standards to control them.

  17. morality of thieves
to thine own self be true
    there is none before me
    me
    me
    me
    none shalt come after
    i am my own god
i am a selfish and vengeful diety

    by rob on 10.04.2011
  18. i know one person, only one person who has absolutely no morality. none. i call him the most morally challenged person alive. the guy hasn’t any boundaries. not one. nothing is off limits, out of reach or unattainable, according to him. friendship means nothing.

  19. what the heck is this supposed to be anyways? where does this writing end up at? does someone else see this stuff someday? I am kind of worried about what I am going to write now, and what ive been writing, it actually has nothing to do with morality at all. fail.

    by bing on 10.04.2011
  20. morality is a crazy thing. it can make people mad, happy, content, empty and gullible, who knows what else. morality is something we made up to make us happy. to be moral is to know what to do. to be human is to except that you dont know.

    by Arielle Cole on 10.04.2011
  21. Morality is a human characteristic that allows us to make decisions related to right and wrong. Although there may not be a “correct” answer to how right and how wrong a person actually is, most people believe that parental influence determines how individuals view what is right and what is wrong.

    by susan on 10.04.2011
  22. What is morality, and who defines morals? Are they arbitrary or somehow connected to the chemical reactions we experience upon doing bad versus doing good? Is it like up and down, black and white, or is it a continuum left undefined? Am I moral?

    by Michelle on 10.04.2011
  23. not cusing in front of older people. Wearing things you like but aren’t vulgar to other people. Always be respectful of others in the room. Do not treat the earth like its trash.

    by JuliaGrace on 10.04.2011
  24. Morality. What a joke. You think you know what morality is? What you call morality I call your ability to lie to me. I see right through you. I thought I knew you. You thought you had the wool pulled over my eyes. Well I saw through those lies. A wolf in sheep’s clothing is a poor disguise. You said that you’d be different then the other guys, surprise, surprise. Time flies when your curled in a ball, catching the tears from your eyes. Hours pass that might as well be whole lives.
You disappointed me, disjointed me, left me alone. Drunk messages to your phone. This time or that time, maybe the other. Each time is a new time for me to get pulled under. Under the lies that spill from your lips, a cascade of words built to tear rips in the stitches of my soul. How am I supposed to ever be whole with the memory of what I once was and what you took from me. Its a constant battle in my head just to understand what it means when I think I might feel something close to happy.
Such a fleeting emotion I can hardly describe it. Cant go digging to find it. Never quite sure if thats what Im feeling, having trouble dealing with these fucking mixed up emotions. Its been months since we were over, but I still can’t think directly about you. its like torture to my heart. Cutting off my circulation, turning my lips blue. Fuck you. -needs edits-

  25. Morality. that’s a big word.

    Do good, be nice…

It’s the number one law of mankind, well second according to Jesus Christ
Doesn’t it go along with love your neighbor as yourself,
treat others the way you’d like to be treated??

I think that’s what you’re supposed to do.
    Always.

  26. I think that people think only religious people have morality, but that bothers me a lot, because I’m not a religious person, and I consider myself to be far more moral that most people. Morality is not about what god you believe in. People shouldn’t need a book to tell them what’s right and wrong.

    by Oona on 10.04.2011
  27. A lot of people will tell you that morality is a relative thing. But, honestly, in most cases at least, it really isn’t. It’s never moral to kill someone. It’s never moral to hurt someone. It’s never moral to break someone’s heart. And, most of all, it’s never moral to fall in love.

    by Kaylyn on 10.04.2011
  28. You know that weird feeling, like you’re made of two opposite forces
    Running in two directions
Happy but sad, tired but full of energy,
like you’re in a hot tub eating ice cream?

Yeah? Well, in the end, it melts, and you start to feel ill
Because you’ve been sitting in the bubbles and the heat
    for too long.

  29. What exactly is that?
    Do we all possess this?
Or is it something we thrive to achieve?
From what I’ve seen so far in my life time, I don’t think such a thing exist.

  30. You talk about morality all along, what’s right and what’s wrong according our religion. But, hey, have you ever remember about that so called morality when you choose to attack ‘bad’ people? You define they’re bad because they don’t follow you, because they do something different with their way to praise God. You define they’re bad people because you and your so called morality don’t accept differences

  31. The ethics of having to live in oneself – the ethics of tomorrow and repercussions. A shadow that moves both forward and backward, to the past and future, and reminds – of things to come.

    by Chase on 10.04.2011
  32. Morality. Who’s really got that? We all fall short at times and we all make our mistakes. So do we ever really succeed in sticking to our morals? Between breaking laws, cheating, lying, etc… the world is obviously a pretty messed up place, and we’re all in the same boat. So, on that note, why do we judge other people when we do exactly the same things? That’s not cool.

  33. love boys people society me
teachers and everyone needs it, the ability to repsect yourself and others, such a lovely word. Its quaint and feminine makes me smile and feel good
    inside

    by chelsea on 10.04.2011
  34. Morality has been lost somewhere in time. It’s made me lose most of my hope for humanity. But somewhere inside me lies a glimmer of hope for the future. And I’m learning that it’s just because I’m human.

    by Andrea on 10.04.2011
  35. Proper bullshit,
    Wrapped all the way round,
    Twisted and defaming
    A wretched and blaming
    Archaic bastardization of ideal standards
    Shove your morality
Replace it with my self righteous wank

  36. morality.

cannot be defined. based upon the assumption that we all are living out of the lives were were supposed to in the way we were supposed to. treat others the way you want to be treats. seems simple enough. but everyone is selfish. deep down. EVERYONE has other motives.

  37. having good morals. doing the right thing no matter what everyone else is doing. being kind and loving toward others. caring about other people, not selling yourself

    by kelsey boreyko on 10.04.2011
  38. So many grey areas
    in the realm of morality.

    Where does the line
    get drawn between
    right and wrong?

Who is to define that line?
    And who is to unleash
    the punishment
    for those who cross it?

    Where is the immoral
    in the absolute necessary?
When a mother in desperate times
needs to act upon desperate measures
    to feed her family?

    by zoezoe on 10.04.2011
  39. lack of it in the u.s. these days. especially in our government and corporations and the top 1%. they spew religion, they judge others, they shove their values down others’ throats, but they don’t act with morality. they engage prostitution in many forms on many levels. not very moral.

    by Jill on 10.04.2011
  40. Morality wasn’t a part of Richard’s existence. Four hundred years ago he’d decided that, and so far his determination had held. It wasn’t avoidance of death, per se, simply a dismissal of it. He wasn’t interested in what it had to offer.
