  2. Morals matter. Morals are what define people. What defines morals, however, is much more complicated. So you could say that, if morals define people, then people define morals.

But undoubtedly it is those morals that make us who we are.

  3. I spend a lot of time thinking about morals. Mainly my own. I have one moral. To live with no regrets and respect myself while doing so. I will not let anyone change who or what I am. I am beautiful and smart the way I am and I will respect that. I know who I am and I will respect that.

  4. I did not understand what morals were when I was little. But now, now that I’m a teenager, I understand it completely. It’s what is needed in life to make people like you. I should know, I’m the most likable person I know. Not to sound self-centered or anything, but it’s the truth. Why deny the truth?

  5. “It’s not that I think what you’re doing is, you know, bad per say. But on the spectrum of right and wrong it isn’t, well…”

  6. When we are born, we are placed in a situation where we learn and understand specific morals. They are fundamental to how we view the world and skew our perception of what is right and what is wrong. Sometimes it is hard for us to develop our own values and morals after having been surrounded by various opinions and outlooks on life but whether we follow our own and our surrounding social moral guidelines or not, they help us to differentiate between right and wrong. Morals are what we stand ourselves on. They drive us to take action and to make decisions based on feeling and sense of how this will affect us and the world. If we stand by what we truly believe is right and follow our human instinct, perhaps the world will be a better place.

  7. i don’t know what morals are anymore
because i live in the disconnect of time and thought
    reality changes

    and lame
    limping along
    through memory
    it’s weak
    i’m weak
    i have no morals
    it’s the drugs
    isn’t it?

  13. Morals make me think of the ideas of Right and Left.
    Not Wrong.
    Left.
As in…I left the train station behind, and I took the ticket of the old lady who was sitting next to me, and her wallet. And her husband’s dentures, as well as his ashes.
    Left.
As in…I left in my wake a trail of bodies, and blood, and a few crying children.
    Left.
As in I left you behind, and I’m not going back, and I don’t want to hear from you ever again, or I’ll make sure you regret it, the same way I regret having left…in the first place.

  14. Morals, I could go on for hours about morals. It’s all a matter of perspective, there’s no such thing as morality. Morality, mortality…all just show how weak the human mind is and how unable to live free; free without any ethical restraints. Weak.

  19. Morals are a funny thing. You’re told to do one thing but you do the other. Why do we do the other thing? Why do we go against what we’ve been told? It’s more exciting. It’s more enticing. It’s rebellious. They should tell us all the wrong things to do so then maybe we’d do the right things. That’d be interesting.

    by Jewelz on 06.26.2011
  21. I don’t think I have any morals. It’s kind of a foreign idea to me. Morals… Do they really exist? Do we just make them up? Or are they sent to us from someone? It’s silly really.

She could tell. He had ripped up her Bible — the only precious thing she owned — after he ran out of the notebook he brought for cigarettes.
