  9. There was a needle on my floor once. I stepped on it. It buried itself a good half inch into the meat of my little foot. I was about 7 years old at the time. Probably younger. I cried like a little bitch. Well, I’m 18 now, so I guess it was normal for me to cry from stepping on a needle then, not now though. If I stepped on a needle now, I would probably laugh..

  14. Sew many dreams, finding the right one to peruse is like trying to find a needle in a haystack and once you find it, its harder to fit in than the eye of a needle, I’m in the eye of the storm and fresh out of of hell and awaiting the next round.

    by Colby Black on 02.11.2011
  15. there was a needle in a haystack, and we couldn’t locate it, all we could do was search and search, but we had allergies and it was bad, so we decided to go in the house and wash off our clothes and our hands, but then our clothes ripped, and so we had to sew them, with a needle, which we didn’t have, because we lost it in a stack of hay, outside in the barn, that we don’t have. But why did we take the needle outside in the first place? Storm needed her shot.

  18. A needle isn’t very important in the lives of many, but It is all that some know. Isn’t it odd to those of us who pursue more “noble” aspirations that someone, somewhere, is concerned with nothing more than a beautiful embroidery? When the American flag was needed, so was this someone.

  22. Needle in a hay stack they say, the lie. It doesn’t have to be a needle in a hay stack to be hard to find. Have these idiots ever heard of being hidden in plain sight? It can be most effective to have the needle right in front of your nose and still not be able to locate it.

    by Vicky on 02.11.2011

  28. A thread pulled by my needle allows me to create tactile creations, uninhibited by skill, my sewing machine and serger work together like siblings, each finishing the task left undone by the other. Needles moving like synchronized swimmers, deftly pouncing the array of colored and patterned fabrics rhythmically, one or two at a time, I am my own bespoke tailor.

  29. It was like a thousand needles in his brain. He clutched at his head, nearly doubling over. There was too much noise, too much *everything*, and his senses were overloading. He had to get out. He ran, blindly, until his legs and lungs burned and he collapsed against a tree in the park. Breathing in the cool night air, the dark sky a balm to his eyes after the punishing strobe lights in the club, his heartbeat slowed. He wasn’t going back in there, not tonight. His bandmates would have to understand.

  30. Needle in a hay stack. Get the pole out of your eye before you get the needle out of your neighbors. basically your friend’s eye is a hay stack and analogies suck at telling you what you’re actually supposed to do.

  33. I used my needle to sew. I tried to make something beautiful but all i could do was create something i had already seen before, far off in a distant memory. I think my creation belonged to my grandmother. i shouldn’t call it ‘my creation’ because i had seen it before. Where had i seen it before? i am still unsure but i know i have.

  34. i hate needles so much. they are pointy and scary and not my friend. lately i have adjusted to the fact and i am getting use to the fact that they will be in my life. having surgery and blood taken is needed for my healthy life and if that is how it is then so be it. I only wish they could be smaller and not as pointy. but they are. and I am forced to deal with it.
