  9. Doesn’t the word speak for itself? Many things are self-evident to us, but we block them out. Intuitively, we know the things that will better our lives and push us forward and closer to meeting our goals, but we often act like we don’t know what to do. Like the path we should be taking is not clearly set out before us. Sometimes things are obscured, but most of the time, truthfully, they are painfully obvious

  11. Nothing could be said to repair the tension the toddler had just created in the room. Bless the child for being so inquisitive. All of us adults knew the obvious answer to his innocent question but none of us dared explain it in the presence of his parents.

  16. It became obvious after a period of time how you felt about me. It wasn’t the best feeling, nor was it a surprise. I should have known from the very beginning that I was fighting a losing battle, a hopeless war. You threw me out like an oily rag, like some piece of garbage that was littering your heart, mind, and life. She’s thinking she has been blaringly obvious in her advances, yet the person they set their sights on is none the wiser.

  24. I see a lamp. It has monkeys hanging from it. Clearly, it is not where monkeys should be. They should be in the wild, not hanging from a lamp, but it is obvious to me that they are there. Should I rescue them? They are wooden, maybe they would not do well in the wild. Perhaps they are native lamp monkeys and need no interference from me.
