We stopped to rest. A cool breeze ran through the trees and i felt Jane shiver. “Another cold night ahead of us,” I told her. She just looked at me and laughed. She was so tough.
spellbinding days of work
leave exausted muscles
dreaming of a downtime
for recovery and relaxation
rejuivinating the physical and the spirit
to start over again
well, i can do with a lot of rest. I want to give my tired body some time and rest. The main thing is that I should stop worrying myself with what ever happens around me and simply look for some peace of mind. Yes, I want rest for my mind body and soul. I also want to work more and give my mom some rest.
rest is for the weary. i only rest when i need to. its a waste of time in my opinion, but if needed its nice. id rather spend my time doing more important practical things than just laying around resting. rest can be tranquil though. it can be nice.
After a busy day at the laundrette I was looking forward to a well deserved rest. I put up with the noise and the hustle and bustle all day, but when i stepped in that door. Well, that was the last straw. No longer am I going to put up with that. It’s just too much now.
to take a break is what we need
a vacation from our vacation
life is a dream is it not, and dreams are when you rest but do you really?
seems there is always something to do in dreams.
take what you want and forget the rest
for the rest of time.
To be at peace. Although that can wait until we’re dead. At this point resting can be fraught with any number of distressing thoughts which can keep you up to all hours of the morning. So long as there’s life, rest will never be absolute. But who would want it any other way, in the end?
Heart pounding, head throbbing, legs pulsating. I looked at you whenever you look away from me. You left me wanting, needing and wrenching. My being needs a warm cup of coffee as solitude to rest.
Rest. It has to do with sleeping, but is not always sleeping. Rest can be just sitting on the couch eating chips and watching old movies. Fluffy pillows are not nessecary. When you are hurt you need rest. Also when you are sick. I rest in the car sitting in the back seat just listening to the traffic noise and watching the cars go by.
After a long day, I went home to 5 dogs. Happily I changed into sweat pants and a tank top to sit on my couch with a tub of ice cream, watching one of my favorite movies.
I constantly sleep. I just lay about most of the time. I long for my bed. and the peace it provides. I love the droop of my eyelids and the utter drain on my spirit and life that comes with the folding of the sheets around me. Sometimes rest is the only solitude that I can actually grasp in my life…even from myself.
I was sitting in bed, just thinking about how tired I was. Letting my muscles relax. The painful day I just ripped through was making me ache. Relaxation and a good nights sleep was all i needed. My mind couldn’t stop thinking. I just wanted some peace and quiet. I needed to rejuvenate my body.
i want to dream in sleep i find the truth that is my reality. Rest something that we get even if we sleep, every night we wage a war with our selves. The fight for true peace or as much as we can manage it at the time. I slight reprieve from the daily toils that we face.
I take a day to rest. Today is that day, take the time and do things that I normally don’t do during the week. So take the time and enjoy as the day will come to and end and wondered what you have done or contributed to the advancement of yourself and others today. I will cherish the rest of the day as it is my rest day.
Rest, all i want to do is rest. Get away from the stress of life. Ignore the pain of reality. Free myself from what draws me to you…. I just want to rest….
like my rest. it helps me relax. i like to spend the rest of my life in rest. I earn so that I can rest in my old age. Rest is important for the body. It helps me live the rest of my life well. Rest your mind and rest yout body.
the word for today is rest. its kind of more the word for a lifetime. ive had more rest latey, more physical rest than i’ve had for the last 2 years combined. but somehow, i still feel tired. and im wondering what it is that i feel tired from, and where my tired resides. i have to start practicing for my subject gre soon. ive taken all thsis “rest” before starting. im not really working much anymore .what is it that i need to feel rested?
My rest has been much too long. I just got my wisdom teeth pulled straight after being sick, so all I’ve been doing is resting. It sucks. I wanna get out and do anything! Chill with friends, surf, etc.
School was over, life was going pretty good. She twirled her curly hair and stared at the door, she would be leaving soon. She’d go out on a walk with a guy and a dog, one of which she’d never thought she’d be talking to.
He was sweet, really. And he was easy going and easy to please, in all honesty he was fun too. This whole laying off of dating was working out well for her. She liked being single.
And relaxation is quite possibly the greatest of human endeavors. Without rest however, there is no relaxation. Even in Newton’s Laws we see that rest is a very important precursor to many events in life and should not be disregarded as mere sloth.
i rested for about an hour but could not actually fall asleep i thought constantly of my friends sleeping and dreaming there dreams
i wished i could but it was not to be
suddenly i saw a fantastic shape and all my friends were here could i have somehow wished them here?
peace, warmth, joy in loving and living, content, security of hope and justice, daring adventures I’ve just returned home from, his smile, pillows with books and tea on the side in a poka dot mug; mud on shoes by the door, shoes I just took off; rainforests outside my window, near the oceans I only dream about.
wish i coud do that right now, but sadly i have to run again but the thought is nice thank you anyway, i would love some though maybe in the winter a rose acomes to mind a pretty soft pink one with the name maryrose i need to smell it that would help me rest

Rest is very important. If you lack it, you may lose IQ, gain weight as your body is distressed, or even notice an impact on your sanity.
Modern culture doesn’t allow for enough rest many times, but there are movements to slow down and take things a bit easier such as “slow food.”
