she rose from the sea. dripping in foam and seaweed. her kingdom perishing beneath the sea. she was the first to brave the land. others waited, breath held, behind her in the sea. as she rises, her hair goes slack; she stops. “This was a mistake.” Her last thought as her legs fail and the sea claims their queen.
rise to the occasion, rise to your potential. rising isn’t something that just happens, it’s a choice that you have to make. it is a loaded word, filled with potential, but requires you to take the first step. to rise.

A man in a coffee shop, piercings and muscle covered with some skin. A woman at the grocery market, who just turned 90. How many people live in this churning learning town. And then they sleep again.
At the rise of the sun the army marched forward to its impending doom, knowing they would not last the day. As the onslaught of creatures charged their battle lines they fell one by one into the pages of history.
To go up, off the ground, and rise into the air seems like the stuff of fairy tales.
And yet, many of us despise having to go so high up in the air, flying in crowded airplanes, being afraid of heights, and yet, the bird’s ability to rise up and fly seems so…magical.
What are we…complex humans, or just contradicting ourselves?
The rise of the heart shadows the encroaching storm from beyond the hollows of the crown. Therein lies the pattern and pillow; the sword and mace; the silk and poison.
Rise and Shine Love of mine! I have the greatest girlfriend ANYONE could ever dream of obtaining… She’s beyond loving; she’s intelligent, she’s loyal, she’s compassionate, she’s beautiful, she is my EVERYTHING!!!! Everything I ever do can be linked back to her because she makes me want to get up in the morning, she has taught me what love really is, she is always behind me no matter what situation we are getting into. I LOVE HER!!!
I believe you have to rise to the expectations others have of you- rise and exceed. Rise when the time is right, not when the timing is easy. Rise so high and confidently, that the obstacles in your way are hundreds of feet beneath you. Merely specks of sand in a world you can fully conquer and change. Rise and never look down.
I think of the sun rising in the east. How it does so day by day, and how I rise in the morning to its light, peeking through the window curtain. I’ve never watched a sunrise, but it is something I would like to do one day. I think it must be beautiful, I imagine light slowly trickling over the world and the sky gradually moving from black to a dusky gray to a dark blue and then slowly lightening to the shade that we see in the day time.

the rise of the sun in the early morning. just after dawn! it is when life begis for some people, for others its the time when they have their deepest dream. and other simply, never wake up.
A haze of stardust in your eyes, precious little prancer. Clouds swirl and populate this dream with poufs of scented smoke. Lavender and sandal wood suns take and leave life. The tide stretches and retracts over the sand, over your stomach. Bandy legs dangling off the side of the bed. Awake, precious dancer. Open your hazy eyes.
As all the men rose from their deep slumber, the political viewers of this united waste of land realised that their world dominating plan would fail. The rise was one of the most vicious and weird assault made on society, none to survive, none to remember!
And up above the buildings, the evening sun beating down on the harsh sky scrapers, I watch the shadows climb up the walls. Inch by inch, filling in all the little gaps of the window sills. Promising something. Inevitable.
the corners of your mouth rise when you smile, and birds rise as they fly up into the clouds. warm bread rises in the oven, so do cupcakes yum yum. Christians think christ was risen, and hot air rises too, maybe theres a link there ;)
rise is a stupid overrated sentimental feeling of lifting spiritually & doing good & all that crap, but what is being risen against? always something on the opposite end, newtonian existence, reciprocation….to rise is to kick awaY, NOT SUCH A SOFT SENTIMENT NOW

The rise of the Independent League was nothing short of awe-inspiring. It lasted all of six days, but in that time, they made some major waves. And they did it with almost zero bloodshed.
You can rise every time, but you have to work hard for it… it is spmething everyone want and not everyone get… some people think they don`t need it, but they still need it. R stands for rise. good!

It wasn’t a polite tap of a knock, but an angry knock like a policeman on TV thudding on a criminal’s apartment door. It wasn’t the kind of knock you heard in Sherwood; that’s why she was there.

Age 9 I memorized the lyrics to GREASE out of a photographic novel with cartoon captions retelling the movie scene by scene. In the Greased Lightning scene someone mentions “getting a rise out of your levi’s”. I had no idea what they were talking about but I liked the rhyme a lot and ran around saying it often.

i struggle to rise out of bed in the morning. i fight falling into bed at night. my eyes are heavy and my dreams are few. so young. so exhausted.
