  18. “Good evening,” his piercing eyes locked onto hers. “I’m Reeves.” Allie turned on her barstool and studied all six feet plus of him in his dark suit and slightly scuffed shoes. His blond hair fell onto his forehead and she ached to brush it back with trembling fingers. He extended a hand and when she touched him, a jolt ran all the way up her arms and down to her curled toes. “Crap,” she cried. “Control, cancel Scenario 501.” Reeves crumpled to the ground, and the room’s furnishings dissipated into a blue and white checkerboard pattern. “What happened, Allie?” came the concerned voice on the intercom. “It’s nothing,” Allie rubbed her arm. “The damn robot shorted out again, and shocked down to my toes.”

  23. as you sit infront of the console about play, you realize that suddenly eyes are upon you.
The organ stares you down and with the lowest pitch of a chuckle you’ve ever heard,
    it tells you to perform.
music, the only thing that matters has now been comprimised just like everything else.
In the condemned church you found underground, buried under the rubble of society now topped by a perfect system, you realize that now no where is safe.
    This is real.
    This is happening.
the world is now controlled by robots that thirst for human blood.
you turn around to your wife and kids, your best friend and even your parents
and as you are about to utter goodbye, a note so low and demeaning liquifies your bones with the shortest lasting waves from the longest pipes.

“It’s not that I don’t process then,” I answered. “I just don’t let them affect me. I’m stronger than that.”

    “That’s unhealthy.”

    “That’s called being level-headed.”

I didn’t say anything more after that, though he kept rambling. I tucked myself into the corner of the room, buried my nose in my notebook and tried to pretend I couldn’t feel my frustration building beneath my skin.

  28. Robot. I am a robot. You are a robot. How? Why? Well, similar to the saying ” we are all sheep”, we are all robots. We wander through life completely tasks and meeting expectations set for us. When do we really step out and and differ from the rest and from what is expected of us. We simply follow a train of thought which has been prescribed for us from many many generations.

  34. your movements were stiff and precise, robotic, almost. every strand of hair you brushed out of your eyes fell gently underneath your finely parted hair; every breath you inhaled was sharp and crisp and calculated to a decimal; every touch i felt was soft and firm and once the novelty wore off all that was left was the cold clamminess of a robot.

Writhing on the ground I reached up to hit IT, claw IT, gouge IT’s eyes out. But somthing was wrong. I tore IT to peices. I ripped IT’s heart out. Useless. Just a assemble of wires and circuts. IT’s souless sockets bored into me as it reached out to take my human soul away.
