    microchips and three circuit
    boards. and a robot could
break codes and add up to

could hold you in its arms and rock you to sleep
without loving what was in steely arms.

  4. i feel like a robot. With batteries included and sounds that remind me of cartoons. I feel like a robot when I walk around all day as if I was programmed to do the things I do. I feel like a robot when I breathe in fresh air and my body rejects it, instead only keeping the things that feel uniform. I feel like a robot when I follow routine and expect others to watch me and clap their hands at the end of the day.

  5. Why am I forced to write about robots? I’d rather talk about butterflies. Butterflies are so fragile and also so pretty when they fly. I want to fly a kite shaped like a butterfly. I’d run in the grass and hopefully it would have just rained so that I could jump in some puddles also.

    by Kathryn Smetana on 04.19.2011
  6. I feel like a robot. But then I think I won’t feel if I were one. I wont even know if I were one. I am not, and cannot be a robot.

  7. AGAIN, i get this lovely word. Is it a sign? Am i one? Is there a secret invisible button on the back of my neck that i never knew about? Is there anything possibly wrong with getting up and doing the same thing every day?????????????? I think so. Yet i do it.

  8. i think this word is boring. it means not-human. It is an object, and not an interesting word to say or spell. it is negative a lot of the times, he talks robotically. It means without emotion. And I’m emotional, i’m all emotions all the time so robot makes me feel defensive.

  10. robots are cool i guess. i love the movie wall-e. i own it. it’s just so cute. it’s the kind of movie that just makes you smile for, like, 98% of it. and that 2% is when i was crying because i thought wall-e died. yeah… pretty powerful stuff, right? that’s all i really have to say about robots.

  11. Robots are uber gay. They are only taking over peoples jobs not helping out any. theres not much robots do other than ruin life as we know it.

    by Mikayla on 04.19.2011

  14. To an outsider It would seem the body is inhabited, yet it remains, as it always has, lifeless in existence-robot. A vast shell of memory, emotion and intellect yet absent of true breathe. And it shall hang from its limbs, till its death may grant preservation. For a robot is essentially human, lacking in meaning; it is the twisting hand of fate that has dealt the hangman’s card.

  15. Thinking, as i JUST Wrote about this, So call me crazy, because i feel not a robot. With my deep emotions, and my sorrows and wonders and strives. You shall not defeat what i feel may be not a robot, but .. Human.

  19. how can we see such a robot dominating the plane? no such thing had ever happened before. Why does the machine have such dominance, and selective memory. why does the robot seem more animal than machine?

  20. “Don’t unplug me…” Such a cute song. I really want silver leggings. Were they leather? I’m not sure, but they were shiny and wonderful and exciting.

I also want to make a widely loved music video one day.

  21. We are all robots. We live everyday, together, doing the same things, with the same people, in the same way. Every day.

  24. I wish I were a robot sometimes. I would know everything, and I would cook amazingly and never get tired. I would have sexy robot skirts like in the movies/cartoons. I would have gun boobs like in Austin Powers, and I’d seduce everyone. Yeah, I’d like that.

  25. Digits. Numbers. Flowing through the screen. An emotionless blur of reprocessed, regurgitated information. Reaction to stimuli. Only a cold hard exterior. A smile plastered on its face. Its cold callous circuits, imprinted onto its skull.
It is death. Or is it alive?

    by Alex on 04.19.2011
  26. A robot in every house. That’s progress. That’s happiness. That’s the goal. To be served. Robots everywhere to wash clothes and cook food and raise the kids. To fight the war. Why are we here again? We humans? Let me Google it!

  28. unreal. broken. empty. no soul. when someone hurts you so much you go through life in a daze, moving through the motions, not meaning or feeling anything, in a robotic trance, no human qualities, no hope, no love, no feelings.

  29. The end of humankind is the robot, lets all fight this bastard.

  30. Grasses and other plants had grown up from the cracks in the metal of his chest plate, creating a neat green vest. His legs were completely buried under the ground. Eyes eternally cast upwards to the sky, watching as the clouds and birds and planes drifted on past. Sitting here just watching him, I imagine the reason why you are sitting in the middle of the forest, I want to know your story.

  31. Robots? Again? Didn’t I just do this damn thing with the word robot? I’m beginning to wonder if I’m really as tech savvy as I thought I was. Because believe it or not, fixing the VHS player was probably a chance and anyways, all the cords have pretty good labels on them so I don’t ever have to worry about sticking them in the wrong plugs. Too bad everything isn’t like that, you know?

    by Renu on 04.19.2011
  32. Robots. Robots are way cool. The boy scouts offer a badge for robotics now. I think that’s good that they’re moving with the future, except for that they’re still really stuck on the religion bit, at least in scout groups I’ve come across. Pity. I don’t feel like robotics and religion mix well, though I suppose robot preachers would never have doubts, never lie, and never lead their lambs astray.

  33. Automatons. I learned that word today and it thrills me. I love words and so I will spend my life devoted to words. Teaching them, examining them, loving them, writing them, that can be my life if I want it to be.

  35. I feel like a robot sometimes. Just going through the motions, doing what everyone expects me to do- I’m the “good kid,” the oldest, the one who doesn’t screw up, the one who always comes through when you need someone. Well, sometimes robots get tired. And occasionallyt we screw up. One robot to anotherr- it’s okay to mess up- you’re still loved, even when it doesn’t feel like it.

  36. The robot wasn’t all that robotic, but knowing the way it could leap tall buildings, absorb an encyclopedia in half a glance, break a car with its bare hands – that kept the memory in the forefront. It was tall and willow-slender, pale-faced and wide-eyed, but underneath the soft skin and sweet smile it was a machine, and it was out to kill the world.

  37. Robots may be efficient, but they have no passion, no drive, no aspirations.

  38. g beautiful becasue, well robot are nice, upon the steam of consciusness my thoughts are revealed betweeen the fragrance of the morning and the sweet kindness of night. we all regret being born, it’s such a shame god forgot about us, but we also are thankful of that. thaks to the life that we can die.

  39. No i just wrote about this. you should shuffle it up more. there is only so much one can think about robots before they must submit to cowering in terror at the thought of how much power robots potentially could have. don’t think that they won’t kill us. they will. oh they will. they will rip you to pieces, and put your brain in a paper shredder.

  40. I was done living a routine life. The same thing. Every day. It gets old, and my mind cannot be prisoner to these shallow ways. I need out. And I need out now. I want every day to be a surprise; a different twist to my story.
