today is saturday :)
I wish I had spent it doing something exciting or interesting, rather than sleeping and eating pizza. although If the opportunity had arisen, I probably wouldn’t have taken it.
A day of rest and peace and not knowing what may come but be owing all is goood. Evidence of faith and gratitude for soothing no need to wonder , just be.
Saturday is a day that everyone loves, but not me. I despise Saturdays because of one simple event. Every Saturday my Mother takes me down to the market and makes me buy a dress for some special event. I hate it. Dresses are uncomfortable, they have no right being in the world.
I woke up at 7:15am today, got washed up, then watched Pokemon for 30 minutes. Ash got his 50th badge today. I’ve been watching Pokemon since my elementary school days. Seems like one of the few things that hasn’t changed since then. Sometimes I wish life were that simple, all you had to do was catch Pokemon and collect badges, one after the other.
Today is Saturday, and I always find myself going out and realising I don’t know what day it is. When I go out on a Saturday, I wonder why nobody is working and so many people are in town, until I remember. The shame for not remembering the day and portion of guilt from being so judgemental reminds me about the so well used book-cover metaphor that I should probably pay more attention to.
I drift in and out of sleepytime, awakening for a snuggle with the little or a quick chat with the husband. And then I’m off again, dipping back into the dreamy lake of a lazy Saturday morning.
Today’s Saturday is rife with strife and sickness and unwilling victims, with guns at doors and fleeing crowds and the impatient honks of cars and buses and trucks.
Today’s Saturday reeks of decay and of putrid flesh.
Today is not a normal Saturday.
Today is when the zombies broke out, and hell was unleashed.
Today is Saturday, and I am disappointed. What is it exactly with these days that we store them with all of our dreams and wishes, stuff them with expectation. Why do we wait for this? Shouldn’t we celebrate every day like Saturday?
Ice cream. Sunshine. And rain. A small drizzle. And her smile. Just that. Just her smile. And the smell of the earth. And her smile. And the rain. And her sunshine. Hers.
is the day that I am either alone or not. The day where I either feel lonely or slightly stifled. I do not always enjoy this day. but sometimes I do. who can ever really tell? is it not true of all days in fact?
I do not know. why do we even have days at all?
today.. got thru class, had fun.. mind’s opening up.. M liking it.. made frnds.. will watch tv.. not saturday seems like a full-of-life day! this ws not it ws the case earlier…
What’s coming to me is that it’s not “Sunday” so things are still open, whereas on Sunday people sleep in late, the streets are deserted longer, and when I need something, oftentimes it turns out to be from one of the rare stores that’s closed.
He spent his Saturday sprawled on the couch with the curtains tugged over the window; the television showed him a celebrity being followed by a horde of men with cameras. He chuckled as he shoved a greasy slice of pizza into his mouth. But, as the grease dribbled from the corners of his mouth and trickled down his chin, his eyes scanned the dark room. Carryout boxes littered the floor. Trash and old DVD’s were strewn throughout the room. An old, hairy chicken wing touched his dirty sock.
This is no way to live, he told himself.
the day of the week to get things done or to just relax and have fun with friends. be lazy or active your choice but it is a day usually for fun with those you love.
It is the first day of the weekend, my favorite day and the day that I always looked forward to as a child. Saturday was the saviour of my mind when I was in school, the day of cartoons.
Saturday is a great day! Teenagers get to wake up reaaalllyyy late if they want to. All the good cartoons are playing when they wake up, and they get to eat lunch for breakfast! Oh the life of a teen.
Saturday.
Saturday is my mother’s downtime-day. You see, she works the weekdays and on Saturday, she relaxes. On Sunday, when it’s close to work time, she stresses out and completes all of the chores. I think I’m going to gain this trait when I grow a bit older too. I hope I turn out to be a lot like her… You see, she’s the best woman in the world.
The End.
I love saturdays, they are great! it´s a day when I don
t have to get up too early, it´s a day before sunday, it´s a totally not worry day.
Saturdays morning I just relax, stay in bed until very late.
It was a crisp saturday morning in October when Bartimaeus B. Blight walked into the downtown Chicago area. Around him swirled the corpses of leaves long passed away in a wind that gave off a chill that could only be described as sinister. He breathed in deeply and grinned. “Saturday,” he said, “Good day for a murder.”
Saturday! I worked today. My brother left for Mumbai for three whole years. Anyways, I hate saturdays coz I have to work on this day also. I ma waiting for my creative writing class which is one monday. I miss my Mommy. May she comes back soon.
Saturday mornings are the times I can just sit and relax, away from everybody, with my legs stretched out, and just, relax. I don’t have to pretend, because Saturday won’t judge me.
this saturday I was at the park and a saw a shady figure aporaching from behind and old oak tree it was the most frightning moment of my life he charged at me like a bull and put a cloth over my mouth and then I was out.
Sometimes Saturday’s cannot be considered a day off. True I don’t go into work but there are still all those other jobs to be done that I don’t manage during the week.
Years ago, Saturday meant spending til noon reading and then going out. But those days are long gone.
ahhh…a day to catch up on the work I didn’t get done this week. Being sick sucks. I am for sure going to take July 4th off. i’ll probably be tired and mostly sleep! Wish I was asleep right now.
Every Saturday, I sleep in late and then wake up to think, What do I do now? I used to be so bored, but now I am just really thankful I can even think that. Working as a teacher and trying to live life to the fullest has left me forgetting that life is best lived being, more than doing. Being able to stop and rest is a blessing.
It was a bright Saturday morning. The bright sunlight streamed through the laced curtains. Suddenly, the sunlight was gone. The world had become pitch-black!!
It is the day after Friday, which still makes people think of Rebecca Black’s horrible song. Today is Saturday. Saturday makes me think of satyrs, but it is actually named after Saturn. Most of the other days are named after gods. Lots of them are Norse gods, like Thor, Freya, and Odin
On saturday I went to the beach with my family. My cousins were here from Texas and hadn’t been to the beach in years. My oldest cousin and I walked all the way down to the pier and caught crabs. After, we went to the saturday special at a loccal restuarant. They serve delicious food for half price every saturday. On the way home, all my cousins fell asleep in the car, including Tomothy. When we woke them up at our house they said it was the best saturday they’d had in a long time.
Saturdays are my holy days. In the summer I get a chance to catch up with myself. In the winter I get to spend it on my favorite mountains, caught up in snowstorms. I feel calm in the blizzards. It’s an odd feeling. Knowing where I am because of my location – a familiar tree, or bush or rock. I fell in love on the mountain. It’s my happy place forever and always. I met him on a Saturday. I’ll be thankful forever and always for Saturdays.
I think of Saturday as my “sit back and do nothing” day. I enjoy these days quite a lot, considering sitting back and doing nothing is one of my favorite things to do.
I also like to imagine and plan things on Saturday. As relaxing it is to think about things, It’s good for plotting thoughts and various other things.
It was on this Saturday morning that a young girl of around fifteen years of age discovered the incident. The incident was little known and the ones who did know about it were often never seen again. Whether this was by choice or not they were never seen. The few who remained in this world were respected.
So, today is Saturday and I’m going to be spending a lovely evening with my most beloved person on this planet. We hardly get to see eahcother, it’s a real shame. I want nothing more in the world than to see her everyday, but lately it’s been ever weekend if we’re lucky. We’re 50miles apart and completely in love.Nothing will ever stop us from being together though (: <3
These are the days I live for. Quiet mornings with mom in the living room, nights spent reading or spent with loving friends. These saturdays are my motivation when the week gets hard. Even though school sometimes gets unbearable, I’ve got to push through. For the sake of saturdays.
Today is saturday, and yesterdays word was saturday. What the hell is going on? Is this hounting me? Like michievous animal, stalking his prey, as I approach what I fear the most, Her. Every minute every second.
hi’ how is your day like out there ??????????
hope all is fine ?
