Silk is an amazing soft cloth made from fibers spun by worms. It is rather expensive compared to other materials but it is well worth it. Clothing and sheets alike, it is an attractive material the way that it shines in certain light and it feels fantastic against your skin.

Silk is such a cliche in my mind. Skin as smooth as silk. Warm as silk (okay, maybe not that as much). But still, silk is a cliche I will rarely use…unless of course I’m actually writing about silk. Ugh, I’m such a walking contradiction.

Wrapped in oceans of sheets. A sensuous touch. A moment against naked flesh. Its warm and hot, slippery and shimmering in the moonlit night. You were staring at me, staring at you, and I would have laid there forever in your arms.

soft, smooth, running across your skin. Romantic evenings filled with love and lust. You and him. Perfection, moving together underneath sheets of silk.
By Carly on 08.24.2011
i always thought it was kind of like satin but better. i think of silkworms. Then I think of James and the Giant peach. the tim burton exhibit at lacma. going to lacma with karen whitney. karen’s cute sandals from downtown. downtown with kristen and mom and megan. knock offs and cheap jewelry.

i hate the feel of silk. It feels too smooth, a litle superficial, delicate so that you tend to have to be too care

Crawling across the smooth, green blade, the silk worm reaches for the branches above. He stretched just ever so slightly too far, and toppled from the blade. Tumbling down, down, down, into the endless abyss – the little silk worm wonders, “Must it end like this?”

Soft as silk – that was how his skin felt to me. My hand caressed him gently, as he lay there sleeping. Thirty years we had together, and I always enjoyed this early morning time – with me awake, and him still asleep.

She has the silkiest voice in the world. I know don’t understand music, but this is my only time to hear her sing so well. I would stay here if I have to.

“silk my dear fellow! what is the current price?” said marbellow. “25p a half metre sir.” mumbled the shop keeper. “25p! thats bloody outragous! why last week it was only 20!” bellowed marbellow.

I hate silk, i mean, i like rough things. i use a mosquito net because i like the feeling of it. i like carpets, for one. also it’d kill me to know that hotel bed sheets could be silk. christ’s sake!
By crissie on 08.24.2011
she shrieks when she catches a glimpse of my cousins. she hates us. she thinks we’re disgusting. she look so beautiful though. only on the outside. dressed in that beautiful silk dress, made by worms like me. how strange. very strange.

The robes were made of the finest silk. The edging was spun magic, the golden colour of light contrasting neatly with the deep green exterior. They were an extravagant gift, but it was not every day a wizard came of age.

It’s like skin, the way the fingers will brush over it almost involuntarily – just to feel it on their fingertips. The way it slithers through and over and under everything it touches, like water in fabric form. Feel it – close your eyes and just let it lie on your palm until it begins to run away, sliding down off your fingers to land silently, wetly on the floor. Feel its passage through the air beside you, like your beloved passing in the night; familiar.
By Fawn on 08.24.2011
silk is nice and fabricy. it is used to make clothes and other products. it is made from the silk worm. silk products were originally used in china! silk is soft and smooth. it look a bit glossy aswell.

She lay there, her skin like silk, each wrinkle telling a different story. I wanted so badly to smooth her out, iron her heart, keep her from hurting. At the same time, I wondered if I could love her same. I mean, I would her fragility, her midnight breakdowns, much as I hate to say it. It gave me power.

he was most insistent that all the clothes be made of silk. THey couldn’t understand this demand as the climate of the city would surely make short work of such fabric.
By Alwill URL on 08.24.2011
soft, tender to the touch, nights in white satin, always makes me think of sensuality. but cold, too, slips from your fingers, like, you want to touch, stay, feel the softness but it’ll never yield to you, never become warm, never become fluffy when you need it to be fluffy… it’s infatuation that cannot last, and it will always protect itself by remaining cool and detached.

Your eyes are blue as the sea. Your hair is a dark mahogany. I almost get lost in your intense stare, as I glide my fingers over your skin as soft as silk.

i love silk, i’ve been drinking it non stop for the past ten weeks, and only now have i realized how expensive it is. i need more of it in my life, though; i hate regular milk. regular milk is disgusting. i just ran out of silk today, actually. i’m probably going to go to the market tomorrow to buy more, but i barely have any money left. i guess that’s the story of every college student in the US today.

They spoke lies like intricate threads of silk. Weaving them into portraits of how they would prefer to be seen.
Rather than being exposed as who the really were, they wrapped themselves in sheets of silken deception. His and Hers. This is known as ‘getting to know each other’.

silk is super smooth. my mother got a silk scarf as a present from her boss. i think silk is sexy and it rymes with milk. haha ummm silk is a perfect gift for a woman.

Silky material went to my face. IT was the breeze in the middle of the day an I felt loved peaceful Dog barked somewhere in the beach a fast look and something happened. My heart skipped a beat and I felt that I am here, now and I have everything I have always wanted.
By Tick on 08.24.2011
It’s very beautiful. I like the softness, but not when I am sleeping. It is very wierd to sleep in, and I don’t sleep that well in it. But it is sure pretty and very soft! It can have many difference colors

Why silk is always apearing on this window. As I have chosen silk curtains for my room. They’re pink. Every morning I take a glance through the window and hope to see sun shining over the city.
got all kinds of silk but they all made in China.
they burn easy though.
By Cockatoo on 08.24.2011
I don’t think I like silk. You know that weird sound that makes a lot of people cringe? The nails agains chalkboard? Yeah, that’s the feeling I get when I wear silk. It doesn’t feel good! Maybe because I’ve only worn cheap silk.
By Lucero on 08.24.2011
shimmery and delicate. reminds me of my first sleepover. adult sleep over. shimmery and vapid. theres too many people, and i’m stuck here and i feel stupid and alone. but strong like silk. i took time to make.
By Madison on 08.24.2011
silk worms are nice. wearing silk is nice too. did you know that silk originally came from China, hence the silk road. everyone wore silk in china, it’s kind of strange how westerners wanted Chinese goods so bad when they had cotton which is much nicer to wear… Chinese also used toilet paper first in the world. just saying…

her hair felt like silk as he brushed his hands through it. It was the colour of purple satin, well she was a true individual, which is why they were so wrong together
By kirsty booth on 08.24.2011
The silk was coarse, of course.
Nothing more for a Juliet.
A night of freedom and fleeting chills.
Now the burlap, however, was smooth to the groove.
Nothing less for this Jocasta.
A night of nurture and sweet coos.
So tell me, how much, did it cost her?
A lifetime of torture.
Oh, it stays torch-ed.
By chriscrossintertwine URL on 08.24.2011
Nobody really knows why silk is so popular. Why would you choose to dress yourself in the bottom excrement of a worm? Who knows. maybe you’re mad. or a giraffe (giraffes love silk).
