  1. Blood disappears with soap and water, gone without a trace
Tears wiped away in seconds to leave a clean, unblemished face
Every bruise you left healed over, every scar that grazed my skin
But there’s one wound that’s still open; I’m still bleeding from within.

  2. The soap is on the counter. Not in a soap dish, but directly on the tile, leaving a slimy, slippery, dirt-attracting film. I’ve asked that the soap not be place directly on the counter. That has not prevented the placement of soap on the counter. This time I moved the soap to the soap dish in the bathtub and placed a bottle of handwash on the counter where the soap used to be. Much better.

  3. Being rubbed around the hairy sweating body of homo sapiens each and every day was no easy feat, no easy living to make, being rubbed under armpits, and worse!!!

  4. Leave your past behind, wash it down the drain.
Suds may only hurt in open wounds on the surface.
The pain won’t last forever, just give your mind a rinse.
Nothing can’t not be overcame, just wash the soap from your eyes, and see the world clean.

  7. White. Lathered, bubbled, popping, dripping. And then washed away, down the drain, disappearing with everything else we wanted to get rid of. Gone. And I’m clean.

  10. Some people have really dirty bodies, I guess that’s where soap comes in handy. Others have really dirty personalities, soap can’t fix that.

  11. He lathered her back and she willed the wall to smithereens. A small crack was appearing and as it very slowly wove across the tile, he looked up and took his hands off her. “Woah! Hey! That’s my tile you’re breaking!”

  12. Soap operas have been with us for a long time, their dramas have always distracted us from our problems.what has always annoying to me is the way people would talk about them like they are family and if I didn’t recognize it; I would feel greatly distressed until I saw that they were talking about their stories.
Now we have reality dramas to fill that role. Fascinating train wrecks on tv; we might forget how to live our lives.

  13. Cleanses the body. Makes it smell a little better. Huh.
Just like long conversations with friends. Punching the bag as hard as you can.
Letting it all wash away down the drain. And forget about it.
What a refreshing way to live.

  14. I use soap in the toilet. I use soap a lot actually because I’m a bit of a germaphobe and I need things to feel clean. Oh and I misspell soap as soup more often than I’d think. Maybe because I’m hungry right now. Just a little. I hate being hungry before bed. Soap is good.

  15. In the days leading up to it, I guess the signs were obvious. But hindsight will always be 20/20 and there is never enough soap to clear away the past.

  16. ugh why do i keep getting soap! I want another word. I have an exam later but apparently that’s not as important as getting a new word. Anyway, about soap. I don’t understand why people spend so much on expensive soap. As long as you’re clean and smell nice right? But i do appreciate nice smelling people in my country. It’s bloody warm and humid here. No thanks to funky pits.

  17. soap is made from chemicals and is very slippery. I like to bath with soap cz it makes me clean and smell nice. I can be very smelly so I bath and use this thing. It kills germs in a way that makes me smelly. I like soap. I also think of soap opera. The screaming women.

  22. Fight Club’s icon. Makes me feel clean I suppose, but then I’d still need to scrub and exfoliate. Now I’m reminded of how gross the ingredients of soap are. Human fats? I love the irony. Selling women back their fat asses. But that’s really messed up.

  23. Cleaning your body with a fluid. A slippery, slimy fluid. Cleanliness. Making your hands clean after you use the wash room, or before you eat.
    I like being clean.

  25. Soap is a good thing. Most soaps are pink, white or blue. They are used to shower or to clean things. There is this movie where the movie poster is a big soap, it is called.. I don’t.. Oh yeah, the Fight Club, starring Brad Pitt. It is an awesome movie and I liked it a lot. I want my girfliend to see it so she would like it to.

  26. Clean. We all love to be clean. People who aren’t using soap are freaking, dirty, smelly and overall disgusting. So use soap, the world will be a better place.

  28. The bar of soap, snuggled into a wet wash rag for hours, was no longer a translucent pink, but a thick, slimy pink; having melted within the moisture, the pomegranate scent permeated the hot, humid air in the bathroom.

  29. The chess pieces were made of soap, so every few months the king and queen would be worn down and be reborn as pawns. Carving the new pieces also helped pass the time as John served his life sentence.

  30. I like liquid way better than bar soap, I don’t know it just feels really weird. But I like the ones that smell really good, well who doesn’t? But maybe strawberry would be my favorite scent, it’s just really calm, idek.

  31. Jane had more soap than she needed, and she had a mental database of them, in her head. She collected bars of soap from fancy hotels. At the bathroom of a rest stop or a restaurant she would smell the soap, and remember the places that used the same flavor. Pina colada, watermelon, strawberry banana, lemon mint, soft lavender, chocolate, even. She liked shaking the soap from the box, tracing the outlines of the logo (Dove, or Ivory, or Dial), lathering it on as warm mist filled the shower. She hated it when soap cracked, like land in a desert.

  32. Bubbles filled the bathroom.
It’s funny. Even at the age of eighteen, I still have so much fun making soap bubbles.
There’s some thing about the fragility of the bubble that makes me wonder about life and where I stand in this world.
Like the soap bubble, could I possibly just pop out of existence?

  33. Soap? who makes these things? I mean soap… it’s useful for cleaning, and cleaning is for progressive people. I don’t have time for no fancy smart person telling me what I should do. Although I was TOLD to see somebody… Eh. Soap is only useful if you need to be clean. Emotionally speaking, which this is, I’m fine this way…

  34. Soap is the smell that lingers on the collar of your shirt, or the cuffs of your shirt. Soap is the distinctive smell that means home, means clean, means soft clothes and clean bedding. Soap is the lather, rinse, repeat that we take for granted, take as routine, take as a given.

    by Jay on 05.09.2013
  35. soap on my hand, soap soft in the shower, melting into the plastic dish, leaves a bed of itself there, sleeps in a bed of itself, corners softened and slick, tickle your fingertips into the bed of soapmelt.

  36. I feel dirty and tired….and not even soap can wash away the feelings i feel. They are too heavy and stained deep within the bone. How can I wash away something so painful? The soap isn’t hard enough to wash away these bones…

  37. I am so lost in my heartache that I forget I am standing at the sink, wringing my hands full of soap over and over while the water runs. Gritting my teeth, I stare at my eyes. Deep down into the dark narrow pupils, I still see the glimmer of your reflection. Other women come and go without a word. They know this need to wash every hint of unfaithful touch from the skin, and so they let me be.

  38. Soap is really harsh on the skin. I prefer body wash. I do have a bar of soap that is Dial and has Hello Kitty on it. I don’t even use it…it’s just in my bathroom because it’s cute. When soap gets in your eyes it burns. I guess the chemicals in it are not good for mucus membranes. I don’t like bar soap.

  39. I love the smell of soap. It didn’t used to always be like that. I actually used to dislike the smell of it…that was, until I met Damian. Damian was strong, tall and handsome. Damian smelled like soap. Ever since then, I adored the smell of soap. Now I smell it just so I can imagine him. I think I may be a little obsessed…
