  2. Her eyes were closed. Her arms spread wide head down with a cocky smirk. Red frilled cocktail dress with stilettos laced on her ankles. Fishnets tracking her legs and a hat to cover her face. Her red lips smiled and she said hello to her stage now.

  3. The only time I’ve ever been afraid of a stage has been when I had to sing. I’ll sing anywhere but a stage. I’ll sing in the shower, while I bake, in someone’s face, but as soon as I’m near a stage where people are silent and wanting to watch the words vibrate through and by their ears, I sweat and want to run the opposite direction.

My mother forced me to sing for a musical before she would sign my application to an Arts High School.

    It was worth it.

  4. All the world is a stage. What the hell does that mean? Have you ever been upstaged? Do you live your life backstage? I don’t get it. Life is life. Just live it. And every now and again, go see something on stage. hahahaha

  5. I staged a play today. For life is a stage and I lived. I lived as someone else, for you act upon a stage. Does this mean I am not I. That I live a lie. Nay, I live life as a character. Characters are the way I love life. Live Life.

  6. All the world is a stage. What the hell does that mean? Are you upstage? Do you live your life backstage? I don’t get it. Life is life. Just live it. And every now and again, go see something on stage. hahaha

  7. All the world is my stage. So someone has said to me. I look at the world and realize that it is more then just a stage for my existiance, instead it is the stage of all of our live and the extent we act and perform is lost to the average soul seeking justification for their roles.

Toss the flowers upon the stage, the actors are in need of recognition.

  8. The place I love imagination reins above all and the eyes rest upon your every move and you throw your words emotions movements out there and they wash their laughter over you until everything is clean, shiny, and new

  10. The world is a stage and I am an ant on this stage. A small one, the giant grasshoppers of this world would ignore me and my aspirations. But the stage is where I want to be so here I am. So long Walmart! So long mainstream America! So long apple pie. Now it is me a Goldmans, it is me in Paris, it is me eating filet mignon. Yes, I am an ant, but I am

  12. all the world is a stage…perhaps now that I live in Iowa – Iowa is my stage. How I “play” this part is up to me. I am fresh, new standing for the first time in a new life that I have no idea where it will go. My audience is God, who happily watches me like a proud parent as I shakily enter this world – this stage.

  13. “All the world is a stage dive, all the world loves a clown….”

When Eddie saw his first band live in concert, it had been a thrilling mix of drugs, punk music, and swing dancing. It was at that moment that he decided to paint the World Inferno Friendship Society logo on his first black leather jacket – he’d been fifteen, and they had changed his life. He began to be more and more absurd for the sake of absurdity. wheres the fun in being boring? and all he knew was he wanted to live his life on a stage—-

  14. I walk onto the stage. The spotlight is on me. From below I look as if it comes from a light inside me, but I myself am dark. My hair, long and straggly falls from around my shoulders, and I wait.

We either do it now or we fail. DO. IT. NOW.

  27. I knew all my words. I knew I knew all my words, but every night for the weeks running up to the show, I’d had the same dream: Only the front row visible, and the glare of the stage uplighters frying my face, white heat glowing off them. The dream was me standing there. Blank. And the tense silence between cues where I was supposed to know what to say. It was as if I’d missed all rehearsals and was dumbly standing there. A show stopping moron.
