  2. The word support entices familiarity and warmth. With out the support of your bones, you cannot live. Without the support of loved ones, you feel alone making the stresses of the world more difficult to face. Support is structure, an invisible force that can push you through some of the hardest decisions of your life. Support is my husband.

    by Jeannine on 01.10.2011
  3. You were never there for me. You didn’t hold me up above the crowd, you didn’t even care if I was trampled by the crowd; my dreams and hopes never mattered to you. I didn’t matter to you. You let me stay in your house for a while, occasionally eat your food, and if I was lucky, call me daughter every once in a while. But it was wasn’t until I actually made something of myself that you gave me credence.

  4. I hate support bands because they are always shitter than the headlining bands, they irritate my ears and pollute my head with noise i don’t want to hear nor pay to hear. I never buy their merch either. Nobody even listens to them, they may as well be replaced with apes hitting each other or something violent and interesting for us hardcore guys to view and enjoy..x

  5. He wasn’t really in it for the love. the sex. the attention. no, he just wanted her to know he loved her, even if she loved that woman. That killed him inside, to know that he could never have her, because he was the wrong thing. the wrong gender.

  6.  Ella had fallen asleep sometime, most likely from the pain the withdrawl had caused, she didn’t even remember losing consciousness. But her eyes blinked open and she felt…warm. She glanced over and saw Noah beside her, his eyes shut in a light sleep. He always ran a temperature slightly higher than average and it made his skin warm; Ella loved it. She nestled near him her eyes slightly teared up as she tried to get warm. She had forgotten just how much support he brought her.

  7. Its what you expect from life partner parents and govt and return the same to them every one needs the same some time in their life failure is when we should give it the most

  8. Support is the basis for all human activities. We support our children, we support our spouses and we support our friends. With out this support there would be no civilization as we know it.

    by Scott McDowell on 01.10.2011
  9. Support helps. Or does it? Isn’tr it better to go it alone without the need for others to help you out? What about the need to support others? In doing so are we secretly helping ourselves? This is all very cynical!

  10. Something we all want but don’t always get. It keeps our houses up. It gives us confidence to go on. It keeps our bellies and asses in place in the form of pantyhose. It provides us with money to raise our children when the bastards have jumped ship.

    by Rachel Paul on 01.10.2011
  11. Good friends support one another. Great friends are the ones that stick around through thick and thin, the ones who don’t ask questions but instead just sit by you when you’re feeling down. New years resolution – get rid of bad friendships and be more appreciative of good friendships, they are invaluable.

  13. Support? He looked to the crowd for the look in their eyes, the trust and the belief that together they could craft something better for the country, and the world.

He turned to his attendant, and said, “Next time, not so many people. I want a moat separating this stage from the crowd.”

  15. Support. Bras provide support. So do teachers. What you need when you can’t do it alone. What lifts you up and keeps you from dragging. Scaffolding, a building tool and educational concept.

  16. support cables, support fables. i run my mouth for free, after class and into breakfast i down coffee like it’s tea. tonight is reserved for football and waitress-ing and maybe after it all i’ll feel like nighttime undressing, un-wrestling, un-tesla-ing,unabridged and unforgotten written on bar napkins and wishes drawn in the circles left by pint glasses on wooden tables, support cables, support fables, support…

  17. I felt kind of bad for her, you know, throwing out forty bucks just for one bra when I just have to wander about and can buy almost seven for the same price. Either way, she’s got a job and she’s employed, and I miss her, the way she’s never there at three in the morning anymore, she’s just all asleep and nine to five. I dunno, we were friends once, we used to shop for bras together. Things change.

  18. support. when i think of the word support, i think first of women, and support groups for abuse. then form there my mind went to bras. no idea where that came from other than it stemming from “women” i suppose. anyway, support groups are a wonderful next step in the process of healing from abuse in the home.

  19. “The leader of the club made a decision. Some supported him. Others didn’t.”

To support is to agree, or to help (someone).

    by Caleb on 01.10.2011
  20. Friendship is it’s own support system. We would be lost without friends! The best friends are the ones who are always on the other end of the phone, the ones you might not see for six months but when you do meet its as if you just picked up where you left off. Bad friends are the ones who don’t return your phone calls, constantly cancel arrangements to meet and leave you hgith and dry on a regular basis! A good new years resolution would be to get rid of the “bad” friendships in your life and appreciate the “good” ones more!!

  21. I never knew that you could be so far away and still have support.
And yet here I stand, alone, in the midst of so many others
    With none.
    Don’t worry, I’ll support you.
Though you never bothered to support me.
    God speed.
Come home to us in peace.

  29. In historical writing, this is the key to a well written essay. You need to be able to SUPPORT your thesis with relevant and factual information. It is hard to argue with a a well supported claim.

  32. What is the need for support? If something is non self sustaining is it not better to let it follow its natural course and rise or fall on its merits. Supporting weak things destroys the cosmic gene pool of possibilities. Let us help cripples but not become so ourselves.

  33. Joining the rig line to the rock face and locking it so it will support my weight ,

  34. Buildings used to have s shaped supports to hold up sagging wallls. Once upon a time corsets were known as ‘support garments’ not only did they support they often stopped you from eating or breathing easily. Nowadays we have support groups who will mentally hold you up when anything bad happens. Perhaps we would be better off if we supported ourselves and relied less on outside agencies to do it for us. I blame the Government who have created a society of people who need support. I know that ideally we are all interdependent but self-reliance is also a good thing.

  35. I support jason renner, i think he can be completely useless at times, but not matter which road he decides to take i follow and support him 100% even if i think what he is doing, or what he thinks is complete shit, like seriously. I dont even know what to do with him anymore.

  36. Support – can vary from stockings (the unsexy kind, that hold your legs in after an operation, and need industrial help to take off) to the mesh, sexy ones, and even the lines my mother drew on the back of her legs during the war!

    by joey on 01.10.2011
  37. i liked listening to you support me. When I cried, you cupped my hand and blew warm air onto my fingers. I giggled, and the tears became something else. I leaned onto your shoulders. Without you I stumble, you are my tree. My book, my care. You support me. you even supported my tears. It’s funny how these little bouts, these tantrums and storms could make me realize how solid you are. You remain quiet, and I keep my thoughts to myself. I wish I could admit how much I lean on you; how much it means.

  38. It was not like he had not been supported much in his childhood. It was nothing like that, he just felt uncomfortable with all those people staring at him and waiting him to answer. The meetings. He hated them, when he had to appear like he would actually know something.

  39. Support is extremely important for humans. Every human needs support. I feel like people aren’t supported enough.

  40. people support each other, through thick and thin, helping out with advice, money, time, assurances, I have received a lot of support in my life from my family and my partner, it makes you so grateful to not be alone, being fortunate enough to enjoy a network of friends and family around you. it makes me sad for those without that, how frightening it would be to feel alone. But I think if you look for it, you will always find support, it is human nature to support each other and there will always be someone to give you what you need if you just look around and make the connections. It is gratifying and satisfying to give support,
