  7. The Avett Brothers had a good point when they said love can sweep you away. I recently found out just how true this was I personally was “swept away”. I met someone that changed everything for me, my outlook on life, my perceptions of the life around me, and the future I want to have.

  19. Swept can mean to sweep in the past (I swept the floor). In a romantic way a person can be “swept off their feet”. If you are not dealing with things you may be said to be “sweeping things under the carpet” – putting them out of sight so as not to think about them.
