    That we touch
Not with our bodies, or minds

    when one of us burps.

I don’t know at this point why there is chaos, or why everyone expects me to know what the answer is.

Why can’t we break the “norm” and what’s expected of society. Everyone pays into the system. Everybody is entirely too comfortable in their tiny little boxes on the hillside. The world is spinning quicker than ever, and the corrupt will inevitably become stripped, eventually.. But before said disclosure, we will bleed. The lights, they burned, but the burning lights were what enticed, what made her insides churn with a strange mix of apprehension, curiosity, and want for so much more.
The computers and switches around her, once seeming to hum with an electricity and bright light, seemed dull to her now. So she faded away from reality, and danced in her own technologically enhanced fantasy world.
