I was never good at math. The teacher frightened me and I would always get butterflies in my stomach. Frankly, I do not what I would have done if it not were for Tommy.

tables made of wood sit in my kitchen replacing the plastic of my childhood. tables that hold the family together. the tables in my room that hold all my stuff, too much stuff. tables everywhere. some people don’t even have tables. they just sit and hold their stuff.
By giu on 02.25.2011
Tables are fun. The word table is used to refer to any piece of wood laying parallel to the horizon upon which humans place food to eat and undertake various other activities. Most tables are in simple geometric shapes such as circles, squares, etc.

By Jessica on 02.25.2011
tables? tables? really? i thought this would be something more interesting. my feet are on a table right now. tables are really useful, but i could live without. i definaitly enjoy living on the floor. sleeping, sitting, eating, reading. i miss charlie’s floor. such a large space with endless possiblities.

Whenever I see a coffee table I immediately think about the coffee table book that Kramer wrote in Seinfeld- y’know, the one all about coffee tables. When I first saw it, I laughed, but then I started to wish that I had thought of it. It’s almost like a wittier Snuggie.

Arthur and the Round table with his Knights, Square, flat, sturdy, tall, four legs, chairs, wooden, stone, family gathered around a table to dine together, kitchen, dining room, stable,

ahh tables. we sit at them, we rest things upon them, sometimes we even use them to lounge on. yet we take them for granted. were they always there? were they always right in front of us, taking care of our sacks of books and plates of food? do we ever realize how often we’d use our laps and arms and other things that could be doing more useful stuff if we didn’t have tables?

Remember the good old times when we used to have dinner in the living room siting on the floor watching the TV that stood on top of the crate? We have been through so much and yet those days, the ones when we had pennies to our name, not even enough to buy a plastic table and two chairs, those still remain the best of days.
tables are flat and white and beautiful just like life all laid out in front of you and life right now is smooth and happy and careless just like a table and sometimes with one little push it just falls over and everything is rigid and bad and not the same smooth lovely table that it always was.
By Georgina on 02.25.2011
tables are amazing, they’re so useful. You can use them to write on, paint your nails, you could even have sex on them. they’re good for anything. you can make forts with them, and eat off of them. yay tables!!!!!!!

Most people have tables in their house. They are there to sit stuff on. They bring people together because when people eat dinner together at a table that are bonding.
By delaney on 02.25.2011
they’re flat on top
they have four legs
I sit at them
they cause me pain
they relate to food
I hate tables
for now, at least
but I won’t
I will recover
I will love tables
for their nutrition help

i think that tables are wonderful and they hold all of the clutter that i have in my life. it makes me happy when i can sit and rest my head on a table, or draw on a table, or anything like that. i could stand to rest my whole life on a table and i would love to be able to build a table for my family one day. i don’t know.

tables are flat on top
they have four legs
we eat at them
sometimes we gorge
cause extreme guilt
I hate tables
but I will get over the hate
this disorder will not make me
tables will be my friend

tables..what makes them a table and not a chair if in essence they are the same….plastic or wood, they could be the same if we talked about their essences, so what makes them so special? well tables are used for all sorts of things.
By Becca on 02.25.2011
Tables are present in our entire day. Since studies til the table on that bar/restaurant/or something that you usually go with your friends or either alone!
There are two, specially, in my mind now: the one in my bedroom (which is actualy a desk, but anyway…) and the table from my favorite restaurant: Outback *-*
Well, there is one more… the one that, NOW, I really really miss: the teachers’ table from high school. When I was there I didn’t realize how mch I would miss it later :\
And I really do!
Good times there!

I love to sit on tables. They’re more comfortable than chairs, because you can just let your legs dangle without worrying. It seemed like I was going to write dance on tables. I’m not a stripper. I promise. I’m far too young for that. Although sometimes I think I wouldn’t mind.
By Coco URL on 02.25.2011
Why don’t you stop over to the house and pick up those extra sticks for the pool tables?
I like tables. They help to hold my food. The food that I love to eat so much. They are very convenient. They make me happy. If I didn’t have a table, I would be lost. Life would not be the same. Life would not have meaning like it does. Whether the table is amish or non amish, I love it the same. Tables are just so gawsh darn great.

The tables have turned again. And I’m trying to get back on top of them, but they just keep spinning. I’m falling and then I’m safe, I’m jumping across the wooden stands to try and catch up with you. Is this a game? Do you know what your eyes do to me? Even when we’re jumping and they connect, the legs of wood might as well be on fire. Yes, that’s how the tables have turned.

Tables are objects we use everyday. We place things upon them. They level us out. Funny thing is the concept is so simple, yet the magic that happens on them is amazing.
By Punky T. on 02.25.2011
a place to eat with friends and family. lots of good times, conversations, music, laughing, wine. sitting at long tables under the lights and trees in Ikaria eating plates of goat and rice, drinking homemade wine, eating Greek salads and dancing til 6:00am.
By erica on 02.25.2011
Table are brilliant. They hold things and often have lovely cloths that decorate them. Without tables it would become quite difficult to gather together at dinner time. you could eat sitting on the floor but that is not as fun.
By Kate on 02.25.2011
tables hold us up, the keep our elbows from ripping through the raw air. we rest out faces upon our hands as they’re connected like barbells to the joint that presses upon the flat top. that flat top strategically placed over those four limbs, of which force pressure on the ground our feet swing above and beyond that, we’re not sure.
The hand is outstretched, it’s touching the other. I feel you want to reach out to me. but my hands are clasped together. Maybe, it’s because I’m thinking. Or Maybe, it’s because, we need to hide the revolver. Either way, take it off the table.

I pushed away the tables before silently walking around to the back of the room.
“What do you mean?” I ask. “How is that possible?”
“Anything is possible, don’t be silly.”
I feel my chest heave slightly.

I love beautiful mahogney tables. They look uber elegant when it’s paired with a victorian back drop in a huge mansion…ughhh pure bliss! Boy it would be nice to have the finances to buy all of the beautiful things want in life.
By Ashlee on 02.25.2011
our table is covered in empty cans of beers, and i miss the day when you took my hands and stood on that table and asked to dance, and we danced in the middle of the night with a bottle of wine nestled in the crook of our arms
but there isnt wine on the table anymore because you are gone and wine is for couples and beer is for lonely alcoholics who drink to forget
have you forgotten
i haven’t, and the evenings get longer and longer when the table fills up with more and more and more empty cans
i’ll be okay, i promise you, ill be okay (i whisper to no one as another drink goes down and the lights go dark and my heart stops beating)

The tables were when she came into my room and needed something that no one else could give her and I wanted to withhold it just so she could feel what I had felt all my life but instead I let her take it from me and I was lightened.

Starts out as a single seed, then sprouts up, soon enough is a beautiful tree, then is cut down and made into the shape of a table, will forever spend it’s life in a room, never to see the outside world again.

I’m not a fan of tables. They’re sleds an delays experience for me. I dunno where to place my feet what to do with my Arms- because it’s rude to place your elbows on top. I just hate it. Some tables actuallyalw it so that you feel further away from the people or person you are conversing with despite their distant away from you being by mere inches. I lime to enjoy food on tables but other than thy there really isn’t much to say about them.
By Mariana on 02.25.2011

If there is one chore I do not mind doing, it is setting the table. A plate, a fork, a knife, a spoon, a glass, a napkin. DONE. No scrubbing a plate for hours, no loading the washing machine, just setting items on the table, and voila. I wish everything was as simple as setting a table.

i really love tables a lot they’re pretty good especially in earthquakes they’re great to hide under you feel really safe under there. they’re great for eating food at too i mean they’re so stable why not. stable table. they’re also good for homework and most of them have 4 legs but i also use my laptop at the table sometimes. mostly my table is just used for holding shit.
