  11. well I dont know what to write about this word. I just self absorbed and cant relate this word to what is going on in my life. therefore I will ramble and type away. type…. it makes me think of jewelry and how people overlook some of the best things based on first impressions and appearances.

  12. When my husband was my boyfriend, he gave me a necklace that is now tangled and tarnished. I thought it was a very intimate gift for two people that had only know each other a couple of months, plus it wasn’t really my style. I feel bad now and should have it clearned and wear it for special occasions.

  19. We had a huge jug of pennies. And for some reason we felt that the pennies had to be washed, so we added soap and filled the jug with water and swished it around. And then we poured the water out. The pennies never got completely dried, so they tarnished and stuck together.

  37. Tarnished – the word reminds me of a boy I know. His name is Taronish, though he prefers to go simply by the letter “T”. When I think of “tarnished”, I think of rags.   39. tarnished. Can refer to a metal object, often silver or brass, or a reputation. One’s reputation can be besmirched, dragged through the dust, or tarred and feathered. The latter strikes me as particularly painful. what does it have to do with metal oxidation? I don’t quite know.
