  1. The teacher walked into the room, her first class, her first year. Fresh out of college, she had strong confidence in herself, that her class would love her. Quickly she was pulled down from that dream cloud.

  2. I was afraid I would become my teacher. She was fat and ugly and no one loved her. she was 30 something and single. but most importantly she was brilliant. I didn’t want to be brilliant if i couldn’t be loved.

  3. Life!!…yes life is the best teacher…but there is cruelty in it’s ways….u wreck ur heart…devastate ur mind…exhaust ur emotions and then also u falter…but life is a teacher who just wants u to understand that u r responsible for all ur deeds…

  4. For ages I had wanted nothing more, despite not knowing it, but to attempt to fill the vast and dark corners of my mind which were left empty, to rot, forgotten and alone in a mask of ignorance. I was not ignorant, nor was I innocent and not aware of any better, but rather I was left to think that there was no way for me obtain the more I wanted. And so, when it came the time that I might, by chance, learn something, the concept of a teacher came foreign to me.

  5. when i was young i told my mom my kindergarten teacher hit me with a ruler partially because i didn’t like her now I’m committed to the lie i don’t know if it is even true anymore.

  6. I’ve had some great teachers over the years. But I don’t know if anyone has been a better teacher than my Brother and his autism. His life has taught me to be accepting and warm and caring, and I think that is the best lesson I could have learned. If nothing else, I’m happy I’ve learned that.

  7. Teachers can be both bad and good, as with everything else in this world. My English teachers seem to be awesome and my math professors usually stink. I guess that could be the subject and no the teacher but well, I don’t know. I actually plan to be a teacher. I want to change the United States one child/teenager at a time.

  8. One who conveys concepts to others in an easy to process way. One who transfers kindness, morals, knowledge to others brains and hearts. One who shares knowledge, experiences, and their heart to another.

  9. so annoying i could just slap them. i actually have a life you know other than doing 5 pages of homework. if you don’t like kids, then don’t be a teacher. i didn’t think it was that hard of a concept to grasp. why be around something all day everyday of your life if you had the option not to? losers.

  10. Normally I would try and write something poetic, but it’s hard to do that since none of my teachers have really inspired me lately.

  11. You love you write you smile you blind, the heart and dip your feet into a world on no defeat I loved you once and you remind me of who I want to be. Connected us just him and me, redirected us on different themes. “I like you once,” he said to me. It was your matching, skills and talent, that reached our hearts and held our feet, to touch the earth and meet to meet. You introduced your art to me.

  12. asshole, fuck school, I got kicked out for smoking pot in high school, what is the non sense game, how do you not think, it’s only been about 40 seconds what the fuck. I like skittles, im thinking, oh shit don’t do that

  13. Teachers always come into your life trying to force upon you their knowledge of the world. In actuality, they know as little as you do, but like to pretend they can guide you the entire way. Really they can only get you half way there.

  14. So I have a teacher and his name is Mr Boyle. He isn’t my teacher this year though. He taught English and was really oppnionated. He got mad at the class for not volunteering sooner when really I wanted to vounteer in a bigger way. I have a much better teacher next year.

  15. i had this incredible teacher in kindergarten. coulda been 1st grade. she was beautiful and she drank diet coke from the can without her lips ever touching the can itself. i thought it was the most graceful and feminine thing. I wanted to be her for a long time after i’d left her class, drinking diet coke and keeping perfectly red lipstick

  17. Teacher eh? one person in particular always springs to mind….In primary school i had a teacher one that in years gone by i have never forgotten, for years as a child i was picked on more then any other child in my class you could even say i was bullied…by this teacher she would make to talk in front of the class, as a young child i had problems with my pronunciations of certain words for example when i tried to say the word seat or sheet i just couldnt say them properly etc and she would pick on me and make me say both words one after the other in front of the entire class as they all laughed at me, she would pick on me for being shy and timid, she would dig her sharp nails and rings into my back when i had a wrong answer now as a young adult and after years of struggling with low self esteem i remember her my primary school teacher for all the wrong reasons….

  18. My mother is a teacher.
    I dont really like teachers.
    all my cousins are teachers
I only dislike teachers who are rude and will only teach with their ways.
    they need to be open.
but sometimes they are just stubborn.
I don’t really like it when they are.
and Im not sure why they have this need to make children suffer and unhappy.
but thats the way they are I guess.

  19. Dr. Nott’s fingers are cool where they’re gripping your arm. Voice heavy with exhaustion, as it always is, he explains how to tie off sutures for the umpteenth time. You both know this wasn’t an accident, though, and this certainly won’t be the last time you seek him out.

  20. I think teachers are the most important job in the world. And they most definitly don’t get enough credit for what they do. I mean they’re responsible for the world’s learning.. their growth and development which is what I learned (from a TEACHER ) is a requirement for something to be living. Imagine if teachers slacked off or taught us these crazy and radical ideals? Reminds me of ray bradbury :) THAT DEF LONGER THAN A MINUTE I KNOW YOU’RE THINKING IT ANYWAYS

  21. My favorite teacher is high school was the one who gave me the benefit of the doubt. It was my English teacher. He didn’t make me do the work, he encouraged me to do so. Even when I didn’t turn the work in he gave me a grade because he knew I could do it! Thanks to the greatest teacher ever! Teaching is knowing your students, not just grading the work that was done!

  22. It’s the same as everyday, she walks to the front of the room, sets down her vintage purse and settles into the seat by the desk. We all sit silently holding our breath, waiting for what is going to say today. Because, same as everyday, she will find someway to make everything right again.

  23. The teachers I have this semester are just driving me insane! One gives piles of homework every night, the other doesn’t know what she’s talking about, the third teaches us nothing and the last yearns for his paycheck, while badmouthing us every other day. Only one more week left…

  24. Teachers. The mentors that follow us throughout our lives. Teaching us life lessons, that we might not regard as lessons at the time. They are our constant companions through the school year, though opinions on them might differ from class to class. They usually have our best intentions at heart and want us to achieve great things in life.

    by Angel on 06.09.2011
  25. sometimes they can be over bearing, boring or too lazy. I dont like teachers that favour students. I feel that some of them dont even like what they do so they dont do it to the best of their abilities. Some of them like to pick on certain students too..

  26. I had stopped looking for someone to tell me the answers. I looked to myself and tried to get through life the best I could. No one can tell you what to think. You have to do it yourself. And that’s a lesson that no one can teach.

  27. its perfectly fine to carry chalk around in a holster for when it gets a bit rainy, or when the little bastards start to shriek. she pawed at her skirt, looking for a snub, something, anything, before she shook her head at the gray sky and pit-patted in heels back towards the schoolroom.

  28. Leader, hero, life changer, dream builder, your biggest fan…your worst nightmare, at one who times the one who halts creativity, free thinking, and forces you to conform to the norm.

  29. i don’t know if i could ever be a teacher. when you think about it they really can have an influence on our youth. that and i don’t want to deal with bratty kids every day for the rest of my life. what if i don’t teach them well? what if i snap and kill one? dilemmas.

  30. because she was who i needed to tell me what to do and how to do it. she got me from where i was to where i was going. but that other one; she sucked. or he sucked. what a job; you hold so much responsibility- it can be achieved or epically failed. there is no other option.

  31. It was my teacher. It was my teacher who had been there to the end. It was my teacher who had been there when it all crashed down. I cannot believe that after everything, the one person to stand by me till the very end was my teacher. He stood by me, longer then my parents ever would. He is the one person that knows everything about me, and the one person I can tell everything to. That one person, is my teacher, and my teacher is God.

  32. The teachers at my current school are a lot better than the ones at my old school. They make you feel connected, to them and what they teach. They’re not only your teacher, they’re friends with you. They make you feel comfortable. They know what real kids are like, and they accept that.

  33. my cat is so cute i hate this song im hungry my boyfriend isnt texting back how sad i want to facetime him i guess not. i love leaves and pottery i miss the south i want to live there

  34. His name was Mr. Floren, and everyone knew he hated History. Well, why should he be remotely fond of the subject? He’d been pratteling on about The War of Whats-And-Whats and King Tell-Me-About for nearly thirteen years, and that was a long time. Thirteen years with the same ghosts filling in his classroom, attempting to breathe life into his students. But every year, the students became more and more ungrateful. They didn’t care about monarchs and blood shed, jewels, treasure and adventure. They cared about themselves. And so, Mr. Floren, once known as a fantastic, lively teacher, began to dread his subject. And, over time, he too grew bored with his repitoire of stories. New history was happening around him everyday, but he was so stuck in the past, he couldn’t be apart of it. Frustration grew into depression, and after a while, he couldn’t see the point of History class anymore, not even the point of his job or his life. And so, when dreary January at lunch, Mr. Floren took his life in the most historic way he could think of. The ghost, his history, now lives within the very walls of the school he had so desperately tried to inspire.

  37. I love my teachers. They were different in high school. I liked my high school teachers. I liked some of my instructors in college, but some were just crazy and just creepy and some had no idea what they were talking about or didn’t know how to explain. I love all my teachers and they have influenced me greatly and always will. Way to go!

  38. I don’t know that I’ve learned nearly as much from others as I have from myself and my own experiences. I napped today which I didn’t anticipate at all, though I should have seen it coming. And once awake, I realized the time to move is nigh. So I keep on packing. Packing. Packing.
