He grabbed her hand, “Ginny, you can’t do this, I won’t let you” The words did no good, though and with a quick flick of her wrist, the animal was dead. “You didn’t need to do that,” Harry said, after a beat, “we could’ve found another way.” Ginny smiled a sad, empty smile, “No, this needed to be done

  3. I wave my wand at your face, the pimples disappear and I’m left with the wafting waves of dew swirling in the air. The wand is made of petrified wood, and the wood must have seen something truly frightening because whenever I use it, your face almost disappears completely. I love this wand.

  5. A wand. You’d think something so powerful looked a little more than a random piece of stick. But you shouldn’t judge a book by it’s cover. I mean, I never really like any of the Harry Potter book covers; and the books inside were wonderful. Says a lot, don’t it?

  6. A wand is something that many HP people like to describe as a token that represents all of the movies. I think it represents power, and people have those wands so they will have power over those who do not like Harry Potter. This may be good power, and it may be bad. I just hope they do something good with that power.

  13. The truth is, I’m addicted to twisting my hair, I swear a lot, I’m too stubborn for my own good, and I have a hard time feeling happy for people. But I love my flaws. And if that makes me crazy, then I guess I am. Want me to wave a magic wand and make my imperfections vanish? Never.

  15. Magic seeped with energy from the small branch. It looked luminous in the patch of moonlight, engulfed by the dewey grass. It beckoned to her with it’s power and enveloped her in it’s strength. It whispered to her to pick it up, called to her to use it’s whimsical power. Cautiously she approached and felt her fingers tingle as she gently picked up the wand, cradling it in her arms

  21. A beautiful fairy from deep, dark and terrifying woods carried a wand that was powerless, or so she thought. As she stumbled on the obstacle filled path her foot caught on the snarled root of a giant redwood tree causing her to lose her balance and twist an ankle. Unable to walk, fearful of the invisible creatures that lurked nearby with tears trailing down her pale cheeks, she felt hopless. Being on her way to the nearby town to help a small, sickly child recover from an illness that would surely kill the youngster by days end tomorrow, sorrow filled her and hopelessness weighed her down. The fairy concentrated and tried to think of another way to complete her task, but could not come to any decisive conclusion. After having thought continuously about her situation, she felt a tingle in the palm of her hand, then more of a wiggling sensation followed by definite movement. When she lifted her temple from her buckled up knees, she looked at the strange feeling hand and stared at the slightly glowing wand. Suddenly, the wand jumped out of her clenched hand and had a life of its’ own bucking, swaying, almost dancing around as if it had a secret to tell. Shocked, the slight fairy beckoned and pleaded for the wand to return to her. Although she found no power in the wand, it filled her with security when she had it in her possession. In this way, she relied on her wand and found power in the security it provided. Little did she know that the security the wand produced was the beginning of the power it possessed. It was her insecurity that had awakened the power in the wand and caused it to flash it’s power down at the fairy and heal her so that she would be able to complete her task. Although she stood tenuously at first, her ankle felt much stronger and was healed enough for her to walk. As she continued her walk through the woods, the wand returned to her open palm. It was at this point that she finally realized that the power of the wand could only reach it’s true potentional when the need for it’s powers was extremely intense and one’s thought was focused. Once the fairy with her wand reached the small town and the sickly childs home, she concentrated as hard as she could and focused on the desperation of the child’s family and the misery of the child herself. Again, the wand jumped out of her hand, pointed at the child and healed with its’ glowing power. The glow in the cheeks of the child grew brighter and filled her eyes while her hollowed cheeks and bony legs grew fleshier. The fairy and her wand left the family’s cottage knowing that the sickly child was no longer ill and would live to tell of her miraculous tale.

  22. oh old friend lets make magic together!!

  23. A wand is typically a piece of wood that is said to have magical properties. The type of wand that I’m most familiar with is the type used in the Harry Potter series. Harry and other wizards in JKR’s world are given a wand when they turn 11 and begin their training. the wand has three attributes that are said to affect its power: the type of wood, the length, and the core. In the Harry Potter books, Harry’s wand is special because the core of his wand is a phoenix feather from the same bird that gave another tail feather to a different wand, which was later purchased by Lord Voldemort, the evil wizard that murdered Harry’s parents.

  26. He waved his magick wand, but nothing happened. Startled, he realized that he had forgotten everything that he had been taught today. Racking his brain for the simplest spell, he came up with NOTHING. Death would surely come.

  27. AGAIN? NO. I got wand just now. And yet still I have to write? Alright, I’ll try again. This is not about a wand. Because by not writing about it…OK, that was bad. This is just a stream of consciousness. Now, if I had a wand, i could just flick it and the words would come out. I wouldn’t have to stoop to typing on a keyboard.

  28. this wand had belonged to her mother. there was nothing special looking about it, it looked ordinary, like a thin pale piece of willow wood. but it felt strange in her hand, stirring, coursing, magic coursed through that willow wood and when she held it, the magic of ages flowed through her veins.

  37. You don’t need one to make magic. I tried once when I was 6, made one out of tree bark and waved it around. Unfortunately, I almost took out my neighbor’s eye. And since then, I’ve never really believed in the sort of magic you find in Harry Potter. But, I do believe in magic. And you and I, we’re special.

  38. a magic wand fell into my hands from the sky. the wand could do nothing but grow new plants from the ground. it did this because it was made to make the world a beautiful place, and only a beautiful place. no matter who’s hands it fell into the world would interpret their desires into different forms of beauty. the magic carried from user to use and gave us the world we have today.

  39. Harry Potter uses a wand, which makes one wonder about the possible phallic symbolism in that particular series of children’s novels. After all, it is the story of a boy who, right around the age of twelve, goes through a series of “strange” changes that lead to his eventually becoming a man. Does this mean Ron is impotent?
