  4. war far is a ridiculous way to solve issues in this world. Why do people believe that war is the answer to life? It’s pointless and it only increases controversy between people and the world. The world would be a better place if others would just learn that peace is the answer and not violence. People would still be alive in our US Army if warfare wasn’t needed.

    by Marisa on 10.17.2011
  5. What do I know about this word? Very little. I find it amusing, almost ironic that there would be the word “war” and “fare”. Yes fare doesn’t mean the same as “fair”, but still, isn’t it ironic? That’s all I know about this word.

    by Shona McAndrew on 10.17.2011
  6. Modern warfare is pretty impressive. We have amazing weapons, but the problem is we constantly have to use them! We wage so much war agaisnt others, it’s insane! We have alot of unnessescary war, and we are already in debt! It’s just stupid. But at least our weapons are kinda cool.

    by Ivy on 10.17.2011
  7. The Orwellian warfare is taking place, singularly demolishing though single syllables.
Each new thought, or inspiration, is being blown apart with the subtraction of one letter.
It happens slowly, so slowly that we believe we did it to ourselves,
But in the end, big words don’t matter.
    We are small.
    And I have lost.
    U win.

  8. fare thee well, friends. i’m off to war and i probably won’t see you again but i’m going to pretend it’s a good idea because i’ve been told i’ll have an opportunity to finish my education when I return. it’s not fair, this whole war business.

  13. warfare is often pointless. I don’t understand why people kill over little things. Religion, love, etc. Why can’t we all just respect each others beliefs and not try to force our own upon them. Learn to share, learn to care and to give and to love without having an agenda. Warfare just seems like a waste.

    by Kat on 10.17.2011

    we engage in warfare,
    tongues in motion like daggers
    and thoughts like guns.

    i’m still hungry and scared.

Detonations and gunfire echoed across the field in the inky night, lighting up the sky with unholy oranges and yellows and the sickly smell of ash and charred flesh. He shrugged his gun strap more securely over his shoulder and trudged on; making every effort to ignore the warfare surrounding him.

  21. Why would you want to go about this earth harming other people who are trying to be free? Why would you treat someone in a way that you would hate if they were doing it to you? I have found that two wrongs really don’t make a right… in your head, maybe, but in the real world, no.

  22. “Gave my heart to the army, the only sentimental thing I could think of.” -The National.

The city’s a warfare for you to get through, though it has practically no guns nor blood pools. Sometimes, you consider yourself as a wuss (and beat yourself up for being ‘weak’) for ever thinking that. Most of the times you agree, with gritted teeth and soldier on.

You just want to sleep. But you wake up just the same.

    (Soldier on, kid. Soldier on.)

  23. Everyday, our consciences goes through warfare. We know what is right and wrong, but we do things that conflict with these ideas, because it feels good, we are bored, we are rebels, it is fun. It’s a shame that we lost the little kid in ourselves that used their imagination instead of out-of-body substances.

  30. warfare is the word that nobody ever wants to see. Warfare is the separation and the loss and the loneliness all rolled up into one innocuous little word. The sharp edges of the w leave the rounded behinds of the letters in doubt, unsure whether they are being stabbed or hurt or tortured or abused or left alone.

  40. BOOM! That’s warfare for you. You don’t know what hit you. That’s what makes you the most interesting. You can sit, and talk, and rant, and chat with almost everyone that you mean, usually in a stained wooden chair with a stiff back. And having gone through warfare, you will find that your listeners will be intrigued. It is not a casual conversation, they will have been through it to. Never fret, they will listen. Ears or not.
