I don’t really know what a willow is….. so I can’t really say much about willow. In my word a willow would be a really bushy and soft bush and it would be any color you wanted. Mine would be neon green or purple.

Stitched by a witch from the branches of an old willow that crew in through the cracks of her house. He stumbled about like a newborn foal, unsure of his wobbly wooden legs. His eyes were coal and his mouth was sewn up shut, and even if it wasn’t that willow body of his didn’t have much to say.

Will, oh, will you be willing to will my will to come back to me? I don’t feel like doing much these days; I’m not sure if that’s because there’s not a whole lot to do, or perhaps my will has gone out the wide window into the wind, winding its way between buildings and cars and winding

The weeping willow tree in the backyard hid all. The family by the window with their crescent rolls and diamond rings never saw the hooded man, never suspected the dreadful deeds unfolding in their own back yard. And then, Marty was dead.

There was a willow in the courtyard of my elementary school. I always thought it was a willow because of the white bark, but it really wasn’t. It was another tree with white bark and black scarring. Those black scars carressed with curiosity by innumerable young children, bumps grazed by sweaty fingertips
Thick, dark night. The branches of the willow hang silently in the nighttime air. Heavy. Tired. The heat of the day weighing hard upon the very life of the old willow.
By Laura on 12.08.2010
Standing at the edge of the pond, the willow stood pondering the eternal question: to hang or not to hang. Being predisposed to hang, and consideration to the contrary was difficult to him.

willow won’t you wander with me,
weep amongst the children of your seed
the leaves, they scatter
the branches, they stir
restless in the wind, they are but fragile reeds
willow why won’t you cry for your long lost children?

The only thing I can think of when reading the word willow is Mother Willow from the Disney movie Pocahantos. She seemed to be one that gave good advice and was caring of all creatures whether it be human or not. I like that they were able to form her face out of the misshapen bark that flowed on the tree.

willow what? what is a willow? my boyfriend says its a tree. who cares about trees. you should care about trees! trees give us oxygen bitch! i cant believe you! Oh yeah, a weeping willow. I know that tree! Theyre cute. Kinda sad though. Good to read under id imagine.. because of good shade. Unless its one of those trees where little things fall off and hit you in the face, then i dont like it.

The budding kernels of green new life jingled and jangled in the breeze, as the willow

Willow is the image of my childhood summers.
Alone by the river, I would sit for hours under the swaying branches and watch the flow . Time drifted away from me as the water flowed to the sea. The willow weeped, for it was stuck in the bank, unable to drift and explore like the water could. It mirrored the ripples with it’s tender sweeps and moved in the breeze in fluid ways, but like me it could only bend it’s will. It could not fly in the face of the steady conformity placed upon it, upon me. So we became melancholy friends, the willow and me.
Until one day I learnt how to loosen my roots and run like the water had always known how to do.
