  1. The sheep, tired of having their colleagues mauled at night, decided to hatch a plot against Lyco, the wolf. Starting early in the morn, when they knew Lyco was sleeping, seven of them sheared off all their fur, and using stripped twigs, knitted a long belt, and a hood. Concurrently, the other sheep quietly traipsed through the forest, sniffing around, and eventually found the wolf’s den and reported back.

The stealthiest of the sheep, Mortimer, followed the paths back to the wolf’s den, pulled the hood over Lyco’s head, tied it on tightly around his neck and yelled! Fire! Fire! Earthquake! Alien invasion! AAAAAAGGGHHHH!” His blood-curtling bleats woke Lyco up and he bolted out through the forest, smashing his head blindly into tree trunks, getting covered in mud, and eventually fell down a ravine, fracturing his snout and jaw. From that point forward, he had to eat porridge and bananas.

The sheep spoke for years about the big wolf Lyco, and the day Mortimer pulled the wool over his eyes.

  2. Woo. Comes from sheep; goats. makes clothing, which then dresses people. Dressed people function in society. Naked people function in nudist societies. what is “society” anyway? A bunch of people who think they can just tell you what to do.

  3. “You pulled the wool over my eyes for the last time,” Mrs Kitrich yelled down the stairs. If steam could have actually poured out her ears, it would have done so right then. For years, her husband had told her that the best way for husbands and wives to sleep well was to peck each other goodnight and then go to their separate bedrooms because that way they would both sleep soundly. “But I just read Ashley’s “Glamour” magazine. And I’ve learned,” Mrs. Kitrich shouted again. “It’s not solitude and quiet that help you sleep better. It’s regular orgasms.”

  8. wool reminds me of my mittens. They are from tibet and extremely warm and cute. Wool makes me think of sheep and lambs. and the movie babe, where he is sheering sheep. Wool is scratchy and itches but is warm and wonderful. Not really great when wet but still perfect.

  9. The wool sweater she wore around her arms kept her warm in the harsh winters. She’s been on the run for three years, and the wool sweater was getting a little worn out since she had been taking good care of it. The Nazi’s were after her and her family. Why they were targeting Jews she didn’t know, and probably never would.

He moved closer to the small fire in the old woodstove, its smell comforting, reminding him of home. He looked around anxiously at the simple cabin and at the frail woman making a makeshift bed on the ground near the entrance. Her husband sat quietly in an old rocking chair, working his jaw slowly on a piece of tobacco, his eyes closed, his thoughts far off.

  19. The wool sweater I was wearing was scratching against my skin. The outer layers of the sweater were quite wet from the falling snow. At least it’s keeping me warm, I thought, as I carried on forward along the path.

I had been stuck inside in this horrible weather for days, and finally, despite the cool air, I just had to get out of the cabin that had become my prison.

  22. She felt the soft curl of the wool as she turned it in her hands, stitching it quickly and precisely. Dipping it in a bath of dye, red as cranberries, passing it along to dry, getting another piece. She looked to her right, where a stack of red curling wool textiles were piled and piled. And behind it, another seamstress, and another stack. Then another, and more, and more. Rows of shiny black hair, and dark eyes flitting between dirty machines and piles of red cloth, stacked like a butcher’s meat.

  23. He buried himself into that toasty wool sweater. It scratched at his face awkwardly, but it felt so good. Accompanied by the crackling blaze in the fireplace, Kirk wasn’t worried at all – this would be one of the warmer winter nights.

  25. I hate sheep. They really are quite stupid. Sheering them is the worst! The wool is sticky and greasy and it feels grainy and gets everywhere. I can never sheer one without seeing blood. It is horrible! I just remember bring really young and having to bottle feed the baby lambs. That was nice because they were so cute and I would let them suck on my fingers!

  26. Sometimes when I’m lonely, when Mom and Dad are fighting again and Ben is at a friend’s house, I go out the barn and spend time with the sheep. They’re different than people. They never shout or get angry, and they don’t judge. More often then not I find myself falling asleep amongst them, cradled by soft, warm wool.

  27. It was all about the sweater. Everyone had the lean and comfy sleek v-neck sweater while I was stuck with the ugly had knitted wool sweater. What a dreaded looking thing. Sometimes wool can be your only friend in a time of blankness and non-heatness in your soul. Wool is what you need to keep alive and what you must not leave without in a camping trip.

  31. At first, I thought I saw “wooj”, and I said to myself,
    “That! That ain’t a word!”
Neither is “ain’t,” I suppose. I sort of invalidated my own point there.
“Wooj” is a letter away from “wook”
Which is what I would imagine characters in Star Wars would call baby Wookies.
    “Aw, hey there little Wook!”
    I’m rambling again…
