  1. my dad asks me to get him a wrench almost every time he works. Philips head most of the time. they are all different. sizes and shapes. They are very cold and strong but very helpful, un like most people.

Then he took a deep breath, the wind stopped, but he didn’t notice, he never noticed that sort of thing., his mind was too occupied to think of anything but the wrench, h\so he went outside. it was warm, warmer than usually, but it was comfortable. he walked out onto the street and towards the house across from his. Then he got to the door. It was quiet on his neighbors porch, the door stood before him like it was waiting, waiting for him to make the next move.

  4. The silly old wrench was digging in the garden all day looking for that foolish gold. What made her beleive she was actually going to find it? It could be nothing but a tale. I walked into the back room to pier out the window. Of course, she was still there.

  9. A wrench is a tool you use to fix things. The handle is broken- set it with a wrench. Fixing an engine- go get a wrench. It’s called a wrench because it jerks things back into place. Heart wrenching means forced- as if your heart is wrenched.

  11. there was a wrench in my garage that was supposively over ancient . maybe over 100 years old. before the days of plumbing but it was there and I wondered why. maybe abraham lincoln used it or babe ruth.

  14. Twisting and pulling away from something that wants to be loose. Tightness never solved anything. I picked up the tool and looked at it and wondered why it ever needed to be used. The possibility of fluidity and looseness in the world should not be undermined. Wrenches are for the tight and the weak.

  15. I had a teacher from Bahrain whose favorite word in English was “wretch”. She’d call us all her wretches with great delight. She loved any English word with w in it.

  18. All I know is that its a tool hidden somewhere in my families garage. I never actually used a wrench before but i do know that its used for pipes. Wrenches have nothing to do with my life so far. Oh well i’ll live.

  21. A wrench is a tool you use to build or fix an item. Me personally, I don’t use a wrench never have and never plan to. Unless I become a mechanic (which is not likely to happen!) My dad uses a wrench to fix things, and at his work his employes use wrenches to fix cars.

HA is it bad that when i hear “wrench” i think about a crazy dude about to kill me with a wrench? I hate how my mind creates these insane scenarios. I feel like my mind and life are just some crazy comedic television show. A really bad one too… like the ones on Nickelodeon or disney hahaha ew. You know what i’m talking about though right? Where the character imagines the scenario if this or that happened or if it went a different way. You know what i’m talking about… i’m just awful at explaining things haha

  34. when i think of wrench i think of mechanics and handymen. i think of them as being generally nice guys, hard working laborers with children and a wife wearing an apron waiting for him to come home and put on his beer stained undershirt and drink a beer. and i think of the men coming home a little too early and finding their wives in bed with another man, one that isn’t a mechanic.

  40. okay wrench is a tool used to loosen things. wrench sounds like wench which remeinds me of pirates. pirates are fun. i miss my little sister, wwe play pirates. the guilt is killing me i need to see her more. my mind is so plagued with self loathing it seems i’ll associate any word with guilt and pain.
