There once was a cute snail. Who was so adored by all the other snails in their “Village of moving houses”, that once the cute snail cut its face with sharp piece of glass. Why? Just because it wanted to know how it is to feel different.

One day I was shopping at the best outdoor stores festival with my friend Stephanie. As we walked from store to store, we passed by a lady with an adorably cute dog. We sneakily walked over to the dog when the lady wasn`t paying attention, un-did the dog`s leash, and ran off with the dog.
Cute. Cute? Why was cute the word he used? Last week it was “beautiful” and the week before that I was “gorgeous.” It doesn’t mean anything, right? It’s just a word. A small, deflating word, but still just as good as those others…right?
Its extremely difficult to write a cute short story in the space of one minute. I am less than convinced in the quality of the work that it inspires, which in itself is worrying given the medium in which I work.
Harry
i wanted a pet
i wanted three things in my pet
for it to be
fluffy
cute
and playful
i went to the local
pet store and bought
the most
adorable kitten
i name it fuzzy
(p.s. this is a true story and i actually have a tabby cat named fuzzy he is 4 years old now)
“what’s the matter?” she spins around, eyes wide.
“well… you’re not beautiful, exactly-” he says hesitantly.
“eh? is that an insult? you’re mean.” she pouts, sticking out her tongue.
“no, you’re more of a cute person. that’s just your image.” he answers with a smile.

We had a costume contest at my school to see who had the most cute costume, and it was me.
