  1. I long to run,
    My deep heart cries
    And leap to the sun
    With fire inside.

    Energy low
    New batteries needed
    Aches and pains
    They go unheeded.

    My body may ache
    But my mind, it flies,
    I will stretch out
    And touch the sky.

  2. I need to burn my life right now and start a fresh one. I need to climb out of this rut, set it ablaze, make it crack and pop, pour in my woes, my stings and arrows, my aches and pains, and watch miniature explosions in little pockets deep within the fire light up the display with dazzling light. Then, when this old life is burnt, smoldering black and grey ash, and when it has gone cold and smells of old cigarettes, then I will look to the horizon and see another fire: the big, orange, rising sun of my future life.

  3. The night arrived and the kids were excited. “Did you get the firecrackers?” they asked their father. He nodded to the cart and said that he had gotten their favorite ones. “But we have to receive the guests and eat dinner first.” And later that night, everyone on the street set off the firecrackers to scatter the ghosts and bad luck of the previous year; the street filled with the smoke from the explosives and the smell of gunpowder before it rose, bringing everything bad with it, leaving the early morning sky clear.

  4. I have this gif saved. It’s called firecracker. It starts out, as you might expect, with a guy lighting a pack of firecrackers. It doesn’t end how you’d expect it to. As soon as the fuse expires, the firecracker is abruptly replaced with a montage of like thirty girls getting absolutely pounded, their slapping p*ssies sounding like firecrackers going off. Lmao.
