The subway was teeming.
A dulcet harmony rang out clearly; sweetly, even in the noise and bustle and yelling.
An old man squatted pathetically in a corner; a harmonica in hand.
He swayed along with his emotions, such a mellifluous tune was produced.
A glassy tear trickled down his grimy wrinkled face.
But he was smiling.

A dulcet harmony rang in the noisy polluted air of the subway; a blind man sat calmly at a quiet corner. A harmonica in hand, he swayed with his emotions.
No one, at all, stopped to listen.
But he didn’t know, for he was blind.
And he played such mellifluous music that it was brimming with mounting emotion.
And a tear, silver and glittering even in the dismal darkness of the subway, trickled down his grimy, crinkled face.

i’ve been on a subway when i was in DC. it was a pretty cool experience. i don’t like subway sandwiches. they put too much lettuce on and they cut their bread weird. my husband likes them and says that they don’t cut their bread that way anymore. how big does a city have to be in order to have a subway system? sub? way? what’s a sub? su

I was walking through the cold dark street, lost and confused not knowing where to go, i saw the light as a gust of wind came my way, the subway, my way to home, my way to happiness.

some times I think about what people were thinking when they originally made subways. I mean the old fashion subways. Back when they were still trying different shapes and such.

not standing still as i sway,

I don’t particularly like Subways. I always associate them with the rats in NYC. But, I like the ones in DC. They confuse me. I refuse to understand how they work. I wish subways weren’t there so then I could always take the taxi and stay clean and not feel guilty blowing all my money on it even though there are perfectly wonderful (& unfortunately very convenient) means of transportation.

why it the subway always crowded? i though as i strollerd towards the subway. i was going to be late and that would be disastrous. that would mean that i wouldn’t have enough cash to see another day.

subway sandwhiches are the best as they allow you to chose the condiments and the ingredients.
however, it is not always healthy to eat such “fresh” food as it is cooked very very fast. however, people still enjoy it.
Racso
he looked to his left. she was still there.
she had been there for the past 45 minutes, and though his stop had come, he waited on the subway to see where she was getting off.
he worried about her, although he didn’t know anything about her.

i was in the subway having a sandwhich when you came towards me. then i started choking on it.

The subway vibrated with the sounds of the approaching train. I wondered who I would meet on the train. So many strangers with their own troubles and heartaches. I wondered if any of them would look upon me as a kindred soul, searching for answers.

when i think of subway, i think of the sandwiches from Australia which then reminds me of Brisbane, the place i spent four years of my life pursueing my degree in mass communications in QUT. i love my life in Australia and i can’t wait to return to the place again.

I was on a subway that was well lighted and crowded with many different kinds of people. There were well-to-do business suits, filthy have-nots, and tiny, colorful backpacks adorning even smaller children.

There are millions of people here. Rushing, waiting, worrying. Considering the acts of kindness, of cruelty, of beauty about their day. They don’t look, don’t notice, don’t believe. They countinue along, rush along, concerned with only about where they are going. There is no beauty in the subway, no one looks for it. It’s hidden softly below the tracks, waiting for someone to find it.

Singapore’s clean subways, void of food, packed with people, and connected by shopping oases, always made me feel older than I was.

i love subway. when i was younger my friend and i used to walk a mile to the local and nearest subway to get our hoagies. then we were not friends anymore. i know this is supposed to probably be about riding a subway, but i like sandwiches better.

I hate subway sandwiches. Original, creative? Probably not, but I don’t care if they are 5 dollars. I do not like them.

Aw, the subway. Don’t you miss it? It doesn’t always smell. There’s that wonderful, flickering, fluorescent lighting. Bare. Exposed. People dozing. So tired after a long day at work, tireless, in the city.

the tunnel was dark and dank and he sank quietly past the lines erected to keep people from traveling down the tracks, mere inches from million pound monsters scream by at break neck speeds. just have to find someplace warm to bed down

Erika jumped down the stairs and raced for the subway. They had made it just in time, for as Vincent stepped into the underground train the doors closed behind him. There were very little people with them on the train, but Erika choose not to stand. Holding onto the nearest metal pole, she grinned stupidly at Vincent. “Isn’t this fun?” she asked him giddily. Rolling his eyes, but still smiling, Vincent nodded.

I’ve ridden an Atlanta subway when I was very young with my dad. We were wating for my mom’s long delay in the airport and he was tired of staying inside. We moved outside around 2 in the morning to a dirty filthy hole in the ground. He shouldn’t have taken me there.
The subway was teeming.
