He looked across the street. There were three signs. One leading to the left, his inevitable demise lay before him there. The one to the right led to his bliss. In the middle lay before him a mortal purgatory. He stepped forward and chose.
He looked at the ballot, there were names written across it, staring him in the face. The empty boxes stared back at him pleading to be filled. He couldn't do it. It had taken him until now to realize his moral obligations. He didn't know anything about the names before him, they were just that, names. Would it really make that much of a difference? He decided, no. One vote would not change the course of the election. So he made his decision, and checked the box of the man who had the best smile. And with that, he condemned the whole country.
Everyone fawns from time to time. Whether it be over a woman or a man is up to them. But some of these people don't go away, and you don't stop fawning over them. They linger in your heart and mind, becoming the very essence of your soul. They may not know it, but you do. And it is the hardest thing to move on or forget them, even when you are thousands of miles away, they linger.
Affairs are for those who feel insecure. They are not sure about themselves and their feelings so they search for others. They are for those who do not, and did no know what they want. Affairs are for those who hurt.
Being afraid is a human emotion. Everyone is afraid of something, whether they will admit it or not. Maybe they are even afraid to admit that they are in fact, afraid. But it is not irrational to be afraid because it is a dark and difficult world that we live in and without out fear to keep us humble, what else do we have?
