two girls close to graduation sat in a room with one shade-covered lamp, reflecting a burning orange off the walls. they smoked pot for the first time in their lives, together. they were curious.
i had birthday money, because on that day it was my birthday, so i went and bought a new gaming console to replace the same model that had broke. except my new one was slimmer. not the same.
i had this word yesterday. strange.
I have two video game consoles. I never play the newer one, because I don't have time- especially now that I'm working full time, that every extracurricular activity I have comes after work, jammed into a six hour period before I fall asleep. It just doesn't work.

camp hull/thank you/tank full
i never camped, or set up camp- not true. i camped twice, and that means sleeping in a tent. both times on tour.
that's a lie too. i camped once. on tour. a backyard in los angeles. pat's cousin. life is easy.

there was something in my shoe that wouldn't go away. i remember feeling it in the backyard of my babysitter's house, but we were going inside and i didn't want to be the last one in. when i walked inside i quickly took off my shoe and found a small railroad spike lodged in the gum sole, just barely poking through to the bottom of my foot.
