The cells all surrounded the malignancy. Slowly, the virus was devouring the outer shell, slowly infiltrating the perimeter and intrusively so. Before long, there would be nothing left of the once healthy unit.
He swung the wand in a semi-circle, small bits of glittering blue sparks trailing to his feet. Speaking in another language I didn't understand, he whipped the end toward the wall. The concrete slab quickly vanished, leaving a small trail of dust in it's wake, and the now open doorway was a straight path to the valley.
I was obsessed with finding the answer. Over and over I looked over the data, the lines of unfathomable code trying to find a clue, but time and time again I ended frustrated, and confused. If I was going to cure this unimaginable horror, the obsession would be the only thing I'd have left to find it.
My parents just got busted for selling marijuana. I don't know how to feel about it. I've never been one to believe in legalization of the drug, but at the same time, I don't think getting busted for it is the right thing anymore. I just hope the police don't try to make a statement with my parents.
I wondered if I was going to get the job. The interview didn't go very well, and I didn't seem right for the job, but deep inside I knew I should be given a chance. The waiting game begins, and hovering by the phone for the rejection or acceptance should be a blast. I really hope this works out
The bee hovered perilously toward the bridge of my nose. The thought of it's sharp stinger sinking into my septum was terrifying, but I was fixated on the hovering insect, the beauty of it's flight. It landed near the apex, just above the nostrils and skittered about, before lifting off and buzzing into the distance.
