Ill. Sickness. Sorrow. The word ill brings to me bad memories and sadness. It makes me think of darkness and a candle as hope.
Maroon reminds me of a curtain of dark red. It makes feel that the curtain has been burned, but of course it hasn't. It also makes me think about the tribe called maroon.
The stalk of a plant. A stem may seem very small but is very useful to a plant and animals. Stems carry all the nutrients plants need to carry out photosynthesis. Photosynthesis gives out oxygen which is useful to animals.
