I was driven around and let loose and kept in places all over the world. But nothing could hold my freedom in. All I wanted was a flag to wave, a piece of independence to hold on, a strength to live for.
The rocket flew past. Papers everywhere. Will you help me pick them up at least, love?

The nights breezed by as the lantern kept burning. Was this another miracle? Could God be with me? Can you grant me love? The one thing I can use to save myself.
I made a sandwich and brought it out to him. Isn't this what he always asked for? But he ignored me and watched the sun set. I asked what was wrong and he said nothing. "I'm just a dreamer. I'm never really here. Don't take it personally." I cried that night, I had lost the person I loved to an ever-changing horizon.
She let the string go and the kite flew and flew and flew.
"Will it come back?" She asked me.
I smiled gently and knelt down beside her.
"Maybe, if you wish real hard"
