We clock in each morning and out each night, lay our heads on the pillow to prepare to repeat the day in the morning. We're told that we're individuals. We're encouraged to chase our dreams. But we're all walking the same walk and talking the same talk. We're all just employees in a company we never interviewed for in the first place.
My breath is pouring in and out in smaller pieces than usual, filling up my lungs less and less each day. My heart is beating weaker, my mind is churning less efficiently. I'm ticking and clicking and nothing is fitting and I'm in need of fixing.
My life is measured, from moment to moment.
