it's hard to know one's place in life. jane did.
but, not quite so holistically.
she was at the station right now.
that was her place.
to wait for the package that would be arriving for her aunt that may or may not carry her opportunity to leave this village. to go on to college. to her life.
but she was getting ahead of herself with all those hopes. her place was at the station.

the backpack was left unopened on the subway
noah spent the whole day worrying. he didn't want his mothers day popsicle frame to go missing
he figured he could just hop back on the subway and find it.
but he didnt get on the same subway train.
so the backpack remained unopened, unclaimed.

minty mint-mint.
"Well?"
And I wish I could have said more.

help! my canteen has sprung a leak!
as if! like the world needs any more damsels in distress. if that ever happened to me, i'd just apply pressure to the hole with my thumb, and once that got tiring i could just drink it all! for god's sake! i can help myself!
torch. torch. torch-tor-tor-torch, torch torch! everybody! torch!
they chanted
torch torch torch torch
the club filled up
tor-tor-torch
they chanted
tor-tor-tor-torch
it's what they wanted
and with those numbers, they were going to get it done.
torch, torch, torch, torch!
seven were blown away as easily as cigarette ashes
the name's john.
i don't take kindly to much more questioning than that.
yes. fine. wilkes booth. that's the end of it.
but so what? if you're looking for a fight, pick on that general that comes in here to drink so often. yes they've seen me and haven't nabbed me yet. of course. it's not just the law i need to worry about now.
