Soap bubbles spilled over the side of the kitchen counter as Mary furiously scrubbed away at the stubborn dried up food that stuck to the plate. Her fingers were starting to get pruny and her best friend when it came to cleaning the dishes was beginning to wear out. She could feel the sponge in her hand begin to loosen itself up as it started coming closer to the end of it's life.
