Rules are the boundaries that surround us and bind us. For some they are unnecessary constraints that chafe. For others, they are all the protection they have from the violence and offenses of others.
The moment you look at everything and everyone you love and say "I'll give this all up if that's what you want me to do, God." When you adopt from another country knowing that your parents won't understand and you might not get to spend time with them anymore. That's what being radical means to me.
To be average is to be somehow less. There is no uniqueness in being average. Average confirms that you conform, that you blend, that you are like all the rest.
