The rain came down slowly, at first. Then, in torrents. We ran, with heads bent, towards the store 's entry way to get out of the torrential rain that now included gusts of icy, cold wind. The day had gone from sunny, blue skies, laughter and play to grey skies, cold air, and despair.
I used to love going to restaurants, but not so much anymore. Restaurants, the good ones, have gotten super expensive and the ones that have "reasonable" prices aren't very good. So, there a few good ones at the top that are expensive and then there's a huge bulk in the middle that are mediocre and then the last third are the fast food and chain restaurants. No thank you!
I like going to spas to get massages and be treated with kindness. Or to treat myself with kindness is really what it's about for me. It's a time to pamper myself after long days and weeks of not doing so. I haven't been to a spa in a long time. I think it's time I go. Don't you?
