All that comes to mind when looking at today's word is palindrome. As in, a word that reads the same backwards and forwards. Yes, I am odd like that. Oh, I still have time left! Imagine that.
The world changes everyday, and everyday we adapt to those changes. Even if they're tiny little changes that we never even notice. Sometimes they're big changes that we have no choice but to notice. Moving to a new country was a big change, though I seemed to have adapted, it will never really feel like home. I guess it never really will.
When I was young, I asked my mother why she hated cats. She told me a very sad story about a little girl who was walking home from school one day. The little girl heard a cat meowing from somewhere and when she went to investigate, she found a small abandoned kitten hiding in between two buildings. She felt sorry for the little kit and decided to take it home, but when she got there, she was told that cats were "disgusting little creatures" and to take it back.
It had begun to rain and the little girl was crying as she left the house. She didn't want to leave the little kit out in the pouring rain but she had no choice. She left the little kitten in a dug out beneath a house and left. She promised herself that she'd never have a cat again.
That little girl was my mother and that was the reason she never let me have a cat. -_-
I hate mornings, with the sun shining through the partially open blinds. The sun sets on my side of the house, of course, and often I forget to shut the blinds in reverse to prevent sunlight from sneaking in. Throughout the day the sun will move across the sky, until its shining through the uncovered window above the front door that I cannot reach even with a ladder. I don't hate the sun, but it's pretty darn close.
