Making my way through the jungle, images of Indiana Jones flashed through my mind. Suddenly, I caught sight of what I had been searching my whole life for. Little areas of tan stone peeked through the vegetation that had claimed the temple for its own. I slashed my way through the overgrowth and made my way closer to the stone temple. It was awe inspiring. My heart beat rapidly as I realized I was the first to gaze upon this structure in over 5,000 years!
With a quiet unlike I had ever heard, the normally boisterous group of middle school boys were silent. They were struck speechless as they entered that hallowed place. Standing at the back of the filled auditorium, I watched as most of them reached up to wipe tears from their eyes.
The airport was deserted. It was as though the entire world decided to stay home that day rather than travel anywhere. I called out for help at the check-in desk, but there was no one there. I made my way down the tarmac and saw a strange green light coming from the airplane.
She felt such complete joy that she didn't ever want it to end. Emotions were fighting for top place in her body. Happiness. Euphoria unlike any she had ever felt. She hadn't ever been as excited as that moment the prize was hers.
