Ice-Maiden
Her dip-dyed hair stood out prominently among the rest. Her numerous piercings and tattoos on display garnered a lot of flak between the spectators. She looked starkly different from her surroundings and even more different from those around her.
Her one mistake would mean an endless supply of bland hospital food i.e till the time she's alive.
She sat there, in the same position, remembering her past days. Her past days when she played the piano to her heart's content, and he encouraged her to play more. She could make him listen to the piano's notes for hours as he stared at her affectionately while she played it. Now, as her fingers ran through the keyboard, a ten-year old similar sound struck her memory lane.
Our leader could change everything. He had an enchanting personality and a rather positive aura with a spoonful of wisdom. We hoped our worries and woes would be answered when he comes to power, which were only possible if he existed ever.
The mast of the ship soared high, battling the gigantic waves from wrecking the ship. He listlessly gazed into the horizon, hoping to find a piece of land, however small, to feel the land beneath his feet again.
The day mankind was wiped off from the earth's surface, the day a nuclear explosion shook the roots of each living being. That day had arrived. As the world reeled through the horrors of that day, every mortal introspected within to seek answers that were essential for survival, for their tomorrow.
Desolate and torn from within, my heart broke into a million pieces each time I saw him. Each time I thought about him, and wondered what we could've been, if he had stayed. I wanted clearance and closure, a happy memory that reminds me of the good times we spent together.
Whining and complaining, the little boy with the blue satchel walked disapprovingly towards the school bus. He had no agenda for the day, unlike yesterday when he managed to stick his teacher to her chair. Today was going to be boring.
And as he let out his last breath, he wished he could see her dance for the last time. Dance to the tune of his heartbeats and feel his love for her before he bid adieu. His heart metered its last beats and he gradually slipped into eternal peace.
And as I approached the Dais for the last time, my heart had resolved to capture this moment forever, and embrace the end of a wonderful journey. A significant part of my life was nearing the end, and my heart broke little by little with the thought of bidding adieu to the world of which made me what I am.
life is too short to utter the word "if" a hundred times a day. life's restrictions and complications can make you do so, but it's up to you to celebrate the joyous beauty of life, or sit solemnly on the couch whining how you can't watch your favorite movie because your tv broke down.
