The modern world has given up on its youth, claiming we are all ungrateful swine, yet never stepping up to reprimand those who do wrong.
The vehicle started moving. Startled, I jerked out of my half sleep-filled daze. My eyes widened when I learned that I had been tied up in the backseat. I let out a scream as the car sunk into the lake.
Chills running up my arms. The room was closing in on me. Suffocating me as I tried to draw in one steady breath at a time. It did not help. I was dying, without anyone having to pull a trigger or dig a knife into my skin.
I rushed out of the pottery store. Confused, even a little dazed, I start to migrate with the crowd, allowing them to lead me into the direction of the next shop. Grocers and food carts pass me by, screaming at customers to buy. I pass them without a second thought.
