There were so many hoops I had to jump through to get this kid a good place in the program. Hoops for his academics, hoops for sports, and the biggest hoop of all...a place to live. Maybe I'm like Leanne from the blind side I though to myself, a saviour of sorts. But then again, we are all just trying to be happy in this world.
I was convinced that things were going to get better. Things had to get better, things always get have to go downhill before they went up right? Right. We are all beautiful, things will all turn out beautifully. Everything will be okay.
I dropped him off at the port by the ferry and hoped to god that I would see him again. Keeping in contact was easy these days wasn't it? This couldn't just be a summer fling. Something had happened this summer, and I didn't know how exactly to describe it, but I knew it was amazing.
